Obama sets new record for regulations, 527 pages in just one day

By @SecretsBedard) 11/17/16 12:14 PM

President Obama has just set a new record for rules and regulations, his administration spitting out 527 pages worth in just one day, as he races to put his fingerprint on virtually every corner of American life and business.

According to the Competitive Enterprise Institute, the administration has just shattered the old record for pages of regulations and rules published by the in-house journal, the Federal Register.

At 81,640 total pages for 2016, it ranks first and 235 pages more than all of those published in 2010, the previous record.

What 26 working days? He’s not in the country and is still signing us away. He can do this 24/7 for the next 64 days. Bet he shoves through a few more the morning of the 20th right up until Trump finishes the oath.

In law school mid 1980’s the Federal Register was so thin it wold flop in your hand when you picked it up and you had to, no internet back then. The entire code of federal regulations was maybe 12 or 15 softbound volumes - like a textbook without the hard cover. Yikes.

Doin’ good my friend!

Yeah, I think the campaigns for prez 2020 will start in a couple of months...

Cruz and Romney may have already started, I don’t think Chelsea will be old enough in 2020. Oops, she is 37 now.

But her handlers want to put her in congress first.

Why would he make new regulations since he knows they will all be overturned come January 20th. Are they planning a coup to overthrow Trump?

I honestly think they are scheming to make Hillary POTUS regardless of the vote.

I agree.

That is what all the fuss is about.

Riots/Hate rallies all around the country

The plan is to make such an outcry that the people will blame it on Trump being President Elect and the only cure is....HILLARY!

The problem is, many regulations become law after a time period after posting in the Federal Register. It is much harder to undo than to do. Unlike Executive Orders.

I hear what you are saying though I don’t quite understand how that legally occurs. I thought congress writes laws.

They wrote laws for most of a century which allow specified Executive agencies to write the details by following a publishing and comment process for regulations.

Yes but if it’s that easy to make regulation “law”, it can’t be that difficult to remove it. Reagan come into office in 1981 and chopped a 4’ high stack of regulations with no difficulty. The stack is just higher this time.

What furniture could he steal? What wars could he start? He could blow up the world as an act of spite. We should be thankful that instead he wants to regulate. That’s easy to reverse.

Look, I do not care who has the most dictates as Prez, Obama has to be handcuffed and put away for a very long time with his bimbo girlfriend Jarret! Did I mention Zero is a bastard child, raised by FMD?
AND, democrats are NOT democratic, so quit using that term.
