I met Tom Hanks briefly once in 2000. He drove a PT cruiser down to Pacific Palisades from Malibu to likely work out at the Pacific athletic club on sunset and pch. Besides the pt cruiser he was OK. He did have the windows tinted.

Saving Private Ryan remains a favorite of mine
Watched it once ... never again. For me it was instant PTSD - and second - I couldn't buy into the idea that the army would send so many men into certain death, just to save one other man.

I bet he is still friends with Gary Sinise, and probably just can’t get into the whole “hate all Republicans” trend because of that.

“All DeNiro can do is play a hard-ass punk in his movies. No range whatsoever.”

Obviously you’ve never watched “The King of Comedy”.

I always had some degree of hope for Hanks.

He, along with Mel Gibson, Clint Eastwood; don’t need big Hollywood approval for freedom of expression.

Now he was pretty good in that and so was Jerry Lewis.
Of late De Niro has done a lot of crap movies, I guess for a paycheck. The only one I have seen lately was The Intern and it was only semi-okay.

I don't understand why any Freepers would pay to see any Hollywood produced movie regardless of who stars in it. The money funds Hollywood and its values, not just the main actor. It's like trying to pick up the proverbial dog poop by the 'clean' end.

It made $2.5M at the box office. Apparently I am not the only one that never watched it.

This is the same guy who said he was first against the klinton rape and then got beat up and said he would donate more to klinton’s legal fund. So give him a day and he’ll be back to calling Trump a racist.

Good for Hanks.

This is the inner John Adams speaking from within him (as one of the producers of the mini-series).

What sane person would hope that the President will fall on his face?

I kept hoping 0bozo would do well but he failed us over, and over...

Hanks has always been pretty even-keeled.

Here’s why: Hanks—despite his support for Democratic Party politics—knows that he has a reputation to preserve as one of the best actors in Hollywood. He doesn’t want to ruin it by making ridiculous remarks like what Lena Dunham, Paul Schrader or Joss Whedon did....

My aunt is a very minor actor and producer. bit parts in movies and has produced a few. she got into it through a connection to her nephew who is connected to the movie industry as intermediate player . she is conservative and supports trump though she would of rather of seen some one else win the primary. according to her when you get away from the actors director and producers. you start having more conservative thought by those that work the set. most of those that are conservative keep there mouths shut because all that it takes to be black balled from working a set is one word from a liberal. so people just keep there mouths shut because a small group of liberals will terrorize al the technical crew over there political beliefs. she has seen both min or actor and crew agree with a big name actor in public but in private say that they just did not want to lose there ability to work for not agreeing with that actor or director.

That’s because he was probably talking with Clint and hanks grew a brain unlike some libs.

Clint directed him in Sully and Clint’s rightwing mentality rubbed off on him..

"I hope the president-elect does such a great job that I vote for his re-election in four years."

Count on it, much to the dismay of the Dems.
