The youngest son of U.S. Representative John Conyers and his wife, Monica Conyers, has been reported missing in Houston.
Houston Police say 21-year-old Carl Conyers was last seen Tuesday afternoon by his roommate at their apartment in the 3700 block of Southmore, about a mile southwest of the University of Houston.
Monica Conyers tells KHOU 11 News her son told roommates he "had a bad day" before he disappeared.
By Wednesday morning, the student's girlfriend said Carl was no longer answering his phone.
Conyers is currently a student at UH. He’s described as a black male, about 6 feet tall and 145 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Police he has shaven a beard he’s seen wearing in a handout photo.

Very sad. Too many young men suffer depression and take what they see as their only option. I know a couple of families in my small community who have suffered this tragedy with sons in their late teens, early 20s. Prayers.
Years ago I had a cousin about the same age who disappeared under similar circumstances. He committed suicide.

Conyers represents a district in Detroit, and there is nobody that dare oppose him on the Democratic side.

Prayers up! No matter how reprehensible John Conyers may be as a politician, no-one should have to live through the loss of a son, especially if it turns out to be through violence. May Christ console Conyers and, even if the worst fears are true, help convert tragedy to something beautiful. God lost his only son to violence, too, and saved the human race.
