BS! Speak for yourself! There are those among us who won’t just quit living the life they love just because someone else says so based on an opinion they themselves have no basis in proclaiming.
My mother just retired and wished she hadn’t. She is 84 and serving tables at a well known casino in Vegas since 1988 when she and my father retired to Vegas. Her mother was with us at 93 still riding her Moped to and from Munich to their little village at the base of the Alps (about 60 kliks each way) until she passed from an aneurysm in her stomach that was inoperable because of the blood thinners from a misdiagnosed implanting of a pace maker when she was 70ish. That excellent government health care.
So don’t give me that crap about he is too old. Only Joe can make that determination and if he falters, is honest enough to accept that but I still contend that one must keep as regularly active as they can, especially at something they truely love to do, because if that is the case, he really is never working at all.
