There have been laws written to accommodate overseas births.
Parents must file for recognition for their children to receive citizenship.
When did Cruz’s parents apply for his recognition and citizenship?

No law written can change the Constitution.
Natural born citizen means born here of citizen parents, just as it did when they wrote it into the Constitution.
It was well understood until about the 1960’s when efforts to undermine the protection it provides got underway.
This isn’t Britain.
There was this thing called the American Revolution.

Everything with Beck is traumatic and dramatic. I’m still waiting for his TV show report that he promised would bring down the entire Obama gov’t.

So we disagree. I’ve known people with Cruz’s personality traits. I could be wrong about him. But those people I mentioned would imitate the most high minded principles to get the trust of high minded, compassionate, people and then stab them in the back.

We place our liberty and our lives in the hands of these politicians. They deserve our scrutiny and a reservation of distrust as well. The man appears to be a poser and a back room operator judging by the primaries. He doesn’t appear genuine at all to me.

He appeared on Jimmy Kimmel where Kimmel just let him talk and he was so contrived that it was painful. You can get to to know a lot about a person when you sit down and talk with them. There was little evidence of empathy that I could detect. I don’t need to be coddled by the country’s leaders but I like to feel like they actually care about people generally even if they come off as strict or abrasive.

Cruz, in short exhibits signs of sociopathy which is very prevalent among politicians. I don’t trust him because I don’t believe he has a grasp of his and others’ humanity.

But I guess you just thought I was being venal or facetious. I trust my gut when it comes to politicians and it always makes me wary deep down about the Leftists. I can almost feel their hatred towards the rest of us. Deep down they hate regular people who strive to get along with each other and find happiness. They never will and they know it.

Hillary, for instance, is nothing but a misfit which I’m sure most normal people shunned, if not overtly. I’m sure she built up a great hatred over a lifetime and an appetite for revenge. I believe she got that revenge through many despicable acts in her odyssey for power over all who might criticize her or shun her. She wanted to be queen and now her world has collapsed because that power was so close that she so desired.

Cruz, himself has some personal reason as well to fulfill by gaining power. I don’t know what that reason is, just that he appears to be hiding something about his personality and motives. My gut tells me in in it more for the power and less for the principle.

We’ve seen a lot of politicians who make it painfully obvious they are in this for the money and power and not for the principle. Cruz is the furthest that you can get from one of those people. No one has been more committed to principle during their tenure in office than him.

No one claims that he has the “I feel your pain” pandering to emotions down pat like other politicians. But I don’t look for the schmoozing and sweet talking in a politician. Those are the ones who will stab you in the back. Cruz is the opposite of that.

There was absolutely nothing in the primaries that suggested Cruz was not genuine, a “poser” or a “backroom operator” in any way, shape or form. There is nothing in his career that suggests that. He has been completely consistent every step of the way. And unlike some of the people he ran against, he “speaks conservative” with such a full, rich, complete understanding of the principles that no one who doesn’t have a derangement syndrome could think he is anything but a true believer in those principles. The only reason he seeks higher office is to put those principles into action to save the country. We have seen but a handful of politicians in our generation that have as much of a clear, obvious and undeniable fidelity to conservative principles as Cruz.

Ted Cruz

Arrogant, disloyal, pompous, backstabbing, condescending, power hungry, money-grabbing, poseur extraordinaire.

He is an expert at ‘speaking constitutional’ and ‘speaking conservative.’

When he was able to rightfully earn votes and win elections that were not caucus party insider power grabs, he resorted to stealing delegates to win the nomination.

He would be great for those establishment overseers that push globalism, the North American Union, and the Council of Foreign Relations. He is with the Washington establishment, and serves for only one reason: to lecture and enrich himself. For the global special interests groups that supported Ted, Trump’s presidency represents an existential threat.

The word ‘principled’ and Cruz do not belong in the same sentence. If Trump appoints him to any post, we can only hope that his tenure is as short lived as possible.

Thank heaven that Donald J. Trump is not susceptible to a million dollar bribe from Goldman Sachs -because if he was, Cruz would have already been appointed.

He pissed me off but I’d hate to lose his seat - hopefully there would be a viable replacement. Other than that, he’d be great in a couple possible positions like AG or SCOTUS.

But it is starting to sound a lot like “don’t throw me in that briar patch...”

Recall, Cruz all but put on a “D” just weeks ago.

I read the article you linked and I’m thinking “He says this as if it is a bad thing.”

Sounds like a good start to me.

.
Cruz’ only motive is to strengthen this country, and protect our God given rights.

Cruz is a ‘nerd.’

He always has been; he is focused, and deeply loyal and honest, and expects the same from others. “Gomer Pyle” with total recall memory and an unmeasurable IQ.

What is painful to you is refreshing to decent people.

You demonstrate sociopathy in the post to which I am responding.
