Donald Trump ditched the media yet again last night and went out for dinner with his family.

An NBC reporter managed to squeeze out a reservation from the same restaurant Trump visited and captured this footage of his fellow patrons cheering as he entered the establishment.

Mainstream media hacks were furious, insisting that Trump had violated their trust by attending a private dinner without informing the press pool.

One reporter for CNN told Anderson Cooper, “It appears to be yet another misunderstanding of exactly how much gravity his new title as President-elect holds. You know, if god forbid something were to happen to him, that is a matter of not only public record but also a matter of national security.”

I think he was in the 21 Club. It really looked like the other diners were happy to see him and proud to be fellow New Yorkers. (I’m sure he wouldn’t get a friendly reaction in a restaurant on the upper west side. ha, ha, ha)

This restaurant still has it’s original speakeasy setup in the basement. It’s a fascinating place.

You know, if god forbid something were to happen to him, that is a matter of not only public record but also a matter of national security.

Yep, and if the press isn't there to tell us their lies we might actually find out what happened and who needs to pay.

Getting served in style at Keen's Steakhouse.

No, that is not President Trump's hand.

lol! Insane media think they play a role in national security. This is great. I hope he keeps the trolling of the media up for 8 years or until they get a grip on reality.

If the rule is Trump can’t die until cameras are ready to record it.

Then is stands to reason Trump wants no cameras around.

This is not difficult.

Keene’s has been there for like 100+ years. It used to be a smoking club at the turn of the century. They have something in the neighborhood of 50,000 pipes on the walls, ceiling, displays...a remnant from its former years. Its a pretty good steak house today in the heart of Manhattan.

The arrogance of the media grows and grows. The man spent the last 18 months trailblazing the country. Allow him a few nights to relax and enjoy life. I am sure the ‘gravity’ is not lost on him. Not like anybody, not even the President, is obligated to accept all these buffoons to follow him around.

Trump getting rid of many of these ‘traditions’ would be great. Squeeze out the lobbyists. And frankly, I wouldn’t mind getting rid of the press pool either. Don’t get me wrong I want a robust and honest 4th Estate. Today the Media is way to sycophantic with government. I don’t want Pravda as my news supplier. Make them go dig the dirt and capture all the corrupt, inept people in government red handed instead of trading important stories for more access to puff and allowing the corrupt back scratching system to continue pillaging the country and the taxpayer.

One lady at the restaurant said...Security checked her bag etc etc...and she thought...I wonder who’s coming here. She was thrilled.

"As long as he doesn’t dump his SS..."

Ditto that! I wonder if he could even if he wanted to. There ought to be a law which requires him to have SS protection at all times whether he wants it or not. After all, he's no longer just a private billionaire, but the nation's president.

I doubt the SS would allow a private security detail to supplement their own agents.

Figure about 100 bucks per person.

KEEN’S STEAKHOUSE has interesting artifacts such as the playbill on the night when Lincoln died, an early draft of the Gettysburg address, and various playbills from the time when this area was part of the Theatre District.

The restaurant is divided into multiple rooms and each have a unique feel and history...including the Bull Moose Room (dedicated to Teddy Roosevelt), the Lincoln Room, the Lambs Room, and the Lillie Langtry Room (dedicated to the first female customer.)

Old time clay pipes adorn the ceiling of every room, going back to the tradition of customers checking their pipe at their inn in 17th century.....includes the pipes of Teddy Roosevelt, Babe Ruth, Albert Einstein, and J.P. Morgan.
