Hillary Clinton Supporters Doxxing, Harassing Electoral College Voters
Heat Street ^

Supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton have already gotten more than 4 million signatures on a petition asking the Electoral College to toss Donald Trump’s victory. But some, apparently, aren’t content to simply vent their frustrations online.

According to reports out of Idaho and elsewhere, Clinton supporters have obtained Electoral College voters’ personal information and are harassing them with calls, Facebook messages, emails and even home visits, encouraging them to become “faithless electors,” and change their Trump votes to Clinton votes. –– ADVERTISEMENT ––

And they aren’t being kind about it: “A lot of ’em use bad, rough language,” said Layne Bangerter, one of Idaho’s electors. “Nothing I feel intimidated over. But we’re watching it very closely. They’ve got our home phone numbers, our cell numbers, our emails, our Facebook. We’re just getting an orchestrated barrage from the left.”

“They attack my religion, they attack my politics, they tell me that I must be a terrible father, I must be a terrible American, they use foul language — every swear word,” Bangerter said.

Another of Idaho’s electors told local media that the calls — some of them pre-recorded — were coming from across the country, from California, Massachusetts, Oregon, and New York, among other states.

While Idahoans may be the most vocal about the harassment, lists of Electors, their home phone numbers, addresses and contact information began floating around social media Monday. POLITICO published a list of Electors last week, and supporters clearly spent the rest of the weekend filling in necessary information.

A Twitter account called “VoteHillary2016” was among those who Tweeted out the Google spreadsheet containing Electors’ personal information. The account has since deleted the Tweet, but others have already taken up the cause.

According to Constitution Daily,

http://blog.constitutioncenter.org/2016/11/why-there-will-likely-be-no-electoral-college-drama-on-december-19/

In the end, the House and Senate must agree on any changes made to the Electoral College vote during the in-person Electoral College voting that takes place on December 19 at 50 state capitals and in the District of Columbia. When the official vote certificates are opened by Congress on January 6, the Constitution allows challenges to “faithless electors” who switch their votes, as long as one member of the House and one member of the Senate agree on the same challenge. If a challenge is upheld, the faithless elector’s vote is discarded.

Given that the Republicans control the House and the Senate in the next Congress, an unlikely possible outcome would be that enough faithless electors put Trump’s tally below the 270 votes needed to win the Electoral College vote. In that case, the majority of House and Senate Republicans would invalidate those faithless votes, triggering a run-off contingent election in the House and Senate that Trump and Mike Pence would win.

What is “Doxxing”?

To Dox:

To use the internet to search, trace, or gather information and then publish private or personal information about a particular individual on the Internet, especially when done with malicious intent.

The term supposedly is derived from "documents" or ".doc" files.

In short, it’s finding out info about who you are in the real world, and where you work, in order to cause trouble for you, get you fired, malign you, etc.

I'm not sure. Need to look it up.
Years ago (When I was much younger) the word "Doxy" referred to a whore.

I saw those two morons. Scary to think this is who is entrusted with the responsibility of voting for president.

Wouldn’t the left get further if they spread some Soros money
around instead of harassing them?

If there must be a revolution...let’s get it on quickly. At times death seems like a viable alternative to this never ending whining.

Well I live here and I voted for Mr Trump. You are welcome to come over and try to harass me any time. Beware of flying objects at high speeds.

They want a war?
They’re going to get. And they’re going to be on the losing side.

Dear Friend of Hillary:

If you want to see a “real revolution” convince the electoral college to void the election counter to the will of the people and install Hillary as President!

I would wager you would see the Military step in to protect this country from all enemies both foreign and domestic.

They'd have to get about 38 electors to change their votes.

That won't happen. Plus, there's that one elector in Washington state who doesn't want to vote for Hillary.

If Johnson or McMullin had been able to win a state outright, there might be more restless electors willing to wander off the reservation.

Since that didn't happen, I think you'll only see very few faithless electors this time.

Most states have fines for electors who disregard their state's election results.

Since they were elected to their offices by the voters, are not the Electoral College electors actually elected officials?

Is it not a crime, a felony, to interfere with an elected official’s performance of their duties through use of threats and other forms of intimidation?

Remember how the Clinton campaign and the press got all over Trump’s case for not committing to accept the election results saying it was un-American, etc.?

So if it is wrong for Trump why is it not wrong for the actions these cry babies are taking?

Yes. For you and me. Obviously not in the lawless land of Obama and the Clintons though...

The leftists are becoming unhinged.

Going to be a bumpy few months ahead.

They are setting the stage so that when Trump stats enforcing the laws, there will be enough "martyrs" to make him look bad.....
