My guess is that going public with your being “under consideration” is a sure way to fall “out of consideration”.
I heard Roger Stone on a radio show yesterday. He said that 90% of the names we’re hearing about in the media are completely false, and are either being pushed by the media or the individuals themselves are leaking their own names to the media, in an attempt to be put on to a real consideration list. We’ll see if he’s right, but he said there is absolutely no way John Bolton will be picked, and very few (if any) Bush Administration-era people, or those who openly opposed Trump during the campaign.
So far the appointees have been supporters. I don’t think Trump has forgot so quickly, supporters or back-stabbers
I think most of these trial balloons are full of hot air, let loose by the people themselves, hoping to get Trump’s attention. Trump has said that only he knows who is being considered.
