Erase the non-value added regulations and fire the would-be enforcers.
Quit paying foreign tyrants.
Quit buying votes.
Close several departments and let the states tax for the programs that should never have been federalized in the first place.
Just one example of many: the $1.2 billion given to Iran by Obama in a faulty deal to get our hostages back. $400 million, yeah, but why give them extra money as interest which should not have been paid out at all - $800 million could fix a lot of things here. Billions and billions of dollars squandered on our enemies.
Quit paying to feed the same people multiple times, such as with food stamps AND free meals at schools and community centers. Prohibit the use of food stamps for luxury items, and change it so the users cannot get “cash back”.
Do a huge overhaul of farm subsidies. Many of these go to people who never intend to try to make farming profitable, who just go through the motions to get subsidies.
Cull the duplication and redundant layers throughout the federal government.
Stop funding planned parenthood and public radio/TV.
Try zero-based budgeting for some of the departments, and then cut out all expenditures for “art work”, bonuses for doing nothing by government employees.
Take back federal funds that go for any purpose to benefit illegal immigrants.
