No way will Cruz be AG The first rule for picking an AG is to have a loyal person who can be relied on to have your back Cruz is not that man and neither is Trey Gowdy Rudy is but he does not want the job.

Cruz can not be trusted as AG. SC would be fine, but he will at some point find a way to undermine Trump if given the reins of the Justice Department. It's what he does.

They did have a meeting today. That is well known. I don’t think they met to exchange campaign stories.

Texas has a Republican governor, so any Senator appointed to replace Cruz would be a Republican.

However, he or she might not be a solid conservative, as Ted is.

(Unless you want Senator Gohmert.)

There’s no news and his family wants to eat in peace. What’s their problem?

Things got said on both sides that probably shouldn’t have been said, but it’s a campaign and that happens.

You cannot be serious. He’s anything but a ‘Bush lackey”. Ted is one of the few principled conservative fighters we have in the Senate.

That was the one error Ted made. It won’t happen again. For his first run at it, he did very well.

No, he’d be working for the President, and at the pleasure of the President.

Because we’re CONSERVATIVES. Because we’re CONSTITUTIONALISTS. That’s how.

I don’t doubt that there was a meeting. I doubt that Cruz was offered any position in the new administration.

We have only seen a Canadian birth certificate. All children born abroad must file for recognition of their US citizenship. Where is Cruz’s paperwork? When was it filed?

Why not? If the Senate doesn’t confirm him, he stays in the Senate. if they do, they’re rid of him.

There are a *LOT* of legal authorities that believe his position is correct, and they can't all be lying.

Well, that's what it always used to mean. They're probably just a product of the Communist education system. (Red diaper doper babies)

When Donald Trump clinched the nomination, RINO McConnell said, “At least it wasn’t Cruz.” The RINOs dislike him at least as much as they dislike Donald.

Well, you know, to some of these people, Latinos aren’t real Americans.

All the things GOP establishment Rubios team discovered about Cruz (Amanda Carpenter and so on) will come out if Cruz tries to get a leadership position.

I think Cruz would jump at the chance for executive experience. Now that we have a GOP administration, him trying to police the RINOs in Congress is superfluous. Congress will be policed by the Trump administration. He wanted to stop the Senate from cooperating with Obama, but wouldn’t be able to stop them from cooperating with Trump even if he wanted to. If anything, he would have more influence on the direction of legislation by being closer to Trump than to the Senate.

Given his legal background and experience, AG would definitely be the executive position best suited for Cruz. Now that Rudy has taken himself out of the running, Cruz is the next logical choice among all the well-known names. Cruz is still young and hungry enough to want to succeed and unlike Rudy, he still has the need to make a good name for himself on the national stage by doing good work.

Everyone involved in those stories have denied them, and there is no evidence to support them. You know that.

One of the women listed was Katrina. Do you expect me to believe that one, too?
