You’re entitled to your opinion. I don’t agree with any of it.

Sure wouldn’t want an honest investigation to vet the man before giving him a lifetime appointment , would you

I trust Trump to make the right call
No choice at this point

I still do not want him in a position to make a Supreme Court ruling that we will be stuck with in perpetuity that guts the natural born citizen clause.

People don’t answer because they are bored of listing them not because Cruz didn’t lie. He is completely for sale and a master manipulator. Cruz lied repeatedly, during his Texas campaign, and his presidential campaign.

Does anyone on this thread think Ted Cruz is confirmable to the USSC?

Good, but Supreme Court would be better.

(Sig Sauer, Pilatus, Mrs. Strac... all the fun things in my life are Swiss)

I just noticed your tagline. From the reading I have been doing on Vattel for the last eight years, it appears the United States is actually the product of the Swiss as well. During a time in which almost all the governments in the world were monarchies, Vattel wrote this: (1758)

Finally, several sovereign and independent states may unite themselves together by a perpetual confederacy, without ceasing to be, each individually, a perfect state. They will together constitute a federal republic: their joint deliberations will not impair the sovereignty of each member, though they may, in certain respects, put some restraint on the exercise of it, in virtue of voluntary engagements. A person does not cease to be free and independent, when he is obliged to fulfil engagements which he has voluntarily contracted.

It appears his book triggered James Otis into starting the American Revolution.

Cruz would be a “hostile” AG... he would not hesitate to turn on Trump and investigate Trump and his administration at the first opportunity. The AG needs to be someone fully committed and loyal to Trump.

He won’t take it. But a nice gesture anyway. Offer him the Supreme Court and I think he will take it.

Bottom line (If the story is true and I think it is): Trump buries the hatchet and so does Cruz. Good. We need that. Two good men.

Ted allowed Trump to brand him, a noo ie error. He’ll not let that happen again.

He waited too long. Trump got the upper hand and Cruz never had a chance thereafter.

One of the things people like about Trump is that he is a fighter. He will also fight dirty if that's what it takes to win. I can live with that against our enemies, but I very much don't like it when such tactics are directed against our friends.
