“I hope Sen. Cruz helps President Trump turn this nation around from the disastrous policies of the Kenyanesian Usurpation.”

His help was obviously not needed for Trump to win the election.

Forget the ring. I was thinking of the body part you sit on the barstool with.

"I think we are going to see some serious action in
Congress...all the groundwork is being laid etc.
Exciting times!"

I hope so. No waiting for treacherous Paul RINO or turkey neck
McConnell. Just steam roll the Dems while they are still
dazed over the election. They'll never know what hit them.

If Trump and Cruz have buried the hatchet after the bruising primary, hopefully Cruz and Trump supporters can put it all behind as well and come together in praying for our leaders success in rebuilding and prospering our nation.

Or not.

Trump did not stop to talk to reporters staking out the elevator lobby on his way in. But his spokeswoman, Catherine Frazier, released the following statement:

“Sen. Cruz is pleased to have the opportunity to meet with President-elect Trump in New York today. The American people issued a clear mandate to ‘drain the swamp’ in Washington, repeal Obamacare and start over with cost-effective, patient-centered health care reform, appoint constitutionalist judges to the Supreme Court, secure our southern border and enforce immigration laws, and enact policies that will create more good-paying jobs for the American people. On behalf of the 27 million Texans he represents, the senator looks forward to assisting the Trump Administration in achieving these objectives...”

Sounds like he just wants a cabinet position, any cabinet position.

Good thing. Bury the hatchet and get busy working for the pepples. Cruz is the kind of guy I want on my side.

Very true, but Trump can sure use his help as he traverses the sewers and putrid fever swamps of DC...

I agree. I was a Cruz supporter but voted and contributed to Trump because he won the nomination. I am glad Trump will be our next President, but he will need smart people like Ted to push his agenda. Cruz was for draining the swamp also so I hope they can do it together. Time for Republicans to unite and undo the Obama nightmare.

I am getting the feeling that Trump forgives those who don’t always toe the line, and that’s a good trait. It’s seen today with Cruz but also perhaps with Kelly Ayotte. I had heard rumors that perhaps she, too, is being considered for some position. Living in NH, I am sensitive to how she did not endorse his character (after the p%%%y comment), and I think that is why she did not win re-election. So, if Trump also forgives her and considers her for an appropriate position, that may be a marker for a wise leader.

Presidents are always plagued by people seeking favors during their first weeks, months in office. Lincoln said it was one of the things about the job he hated most.

Really? Per their pledge to endorse the nominee, Cruz and Kasich never endorsed Trump after he was confirmed.. They lied.

I don’t trust Cruz at all. He is the oiliest, most weasel-like politician I’ve seen in a long time, and that’s saying something. He oozes insincerity and sticks his finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing so he knows what he believes. He blamed Trump for the thugs doing the rioting.

Cruz and Ryan are opportunists, nothing more. Cruz wants a place at the table.
