But, we Texans know that his replacement will be named by Governor Abbot - a rock-solid Texas Conservative. He will appoint someone who will be “riding the same rails” as Cruz.

He needs to review Article II eligibility requirements for the Presidency. Foreign born (Canada) sons of foreign citizens (Cuban) are not eligible. For your statement to be true he would not have applied for the job unless he had a lawless streak.....
Despite his supposed expertize in the law, I do not trust (or even like) Cruz. In the end I don’t think Trump will either. For Cruz to even consider the AG’s office is a signal that he is worried about his Senate seat. 2018 is just around the corner.
While I do not believe that Trump is an ideological individual, he is aware of the damage that Globalists (the 21st Century’s International Socialists aka Communists) have wrought upon our nation and the world. Cruz apparently is a dedicated Globalist. HHmmmmmmm.....
I believe that Trump is looking for 2 types of people for each cabinet position....1) a “hatchet man” to clean out the various Departments and 2) A strong manager/organizer to remake the Department’s into efficient public service entities. These may well be 2 separate people. We’ll see .......
Cruz may fit the hatchet man position.....he’s ruthless enough. Though I wouldn’t think he’ll last long after accomplishing that objective.
