I think it is both. The media think they’re heroes for constantly biasing their coverage for the Democrats—and they somehow think a majority of the country agrees with them. They don’t take into account that if that were the case, there’d be no need to so actively and persistently bias their coverage.
Part of that comes from the dumbest of them thinking the majority agrees with them and the most conniving of them doing the most biasing, but there is irrational overlap, too.
The media-creeps never gave us an ounce of credit: we, the people, elected A Republican House, a Republican Senate, a Republican President, and more Republican state governors and office-holders than ever before.
The media can safely conclude.....we, the people rejected "Democrat" in all its permutations.
I only screamed when I had the tv on and was by myself or with only my husband. Otherwise, I was completely silent. I was ridiculed when I opened my mouth for years, so I stopped speaking up about issues of concern to me.
Trump wisely went to people directly through rallies, tweets, and social media. Now as President he must do the same, going to people directly through various means.
They didn’t fail to read anything, they were actively campaigning for the communists. These articles are just stupid and a continuance of the propaganda.
They knew it, coordinated it with Hillary and Podesta, and propagated deliberate fraud. We will remember.
And that is precisely what is wrong with DC politicians. They get elected, go to DC and turn deaf to the voters back home.
Trump didn’t tap in to some great unknown. He just didn’t have a political filter between the people and the treasury. Those pols turn a deaf ear so they can ‘reward’ their friends and cronies.
It was obvious at various rallies and even in the debates — most of the wannabes, both parties, talked AT the people; Trump talked TO the people.
Ryan and all of the other DC politicians COULD have heard the same voices Trump heard, but they would have had to listen.
‘We the people’ sang the song ... wonder if the party of depravity can now ‘hear the people sing’?
BOOM......great take.
No, as I’ve said before, they believed their own propaganda and I’ve seen nothing to indicate that they have learned from it. They have an agenda that is entirely in lock-step with that of the globalist/progressive movement and the fact that Trump’s presidency is likely to lift us out of our economic morass we’ve been in for over eight years and re-establish respect for America is of no consequence whatsoever to them.
There, I fixed it.
Why is there all this caterwauling about how the media “missed” how people think? The media couldn’t care less about what the “great unwashed” think. Why should they expend precious time and money finding out about it? To the media, these people are just “deplorables” who need to be “educated” - have the news “interpreted” for them, because they are “confused.”
The question the media is asking themselves in their private confabs, is how they failed to “get the message out” and how they can do a more effective job of it in the future. Just look at the NYTimes headlines and reporting today. Any change? Not.
