“may lead to increased joblessness, violence, income loss for Mexico”

How can this be true if, as we are told, that these very same people do such wonderful things for the US? It should be America’s loss, and Mexico’s gain.

Trump deporting 3 million criminals =

America is safer!

More jobs for Americans

Less traffic

Less welfare we pay for

Trump is the best

First — a large section of the criminal class. The large group, Mexican mafia, MS 13. Those thugs are not looking for a good job.

We’re not taking the trash anymore, Mexico. Deal with your own thugs on your own soil and don’t ship them back.

But, not just Mexico. Countries as far away as Laos have refused to take back their worst criminals as well. We end up jailing them and paying the cost for their room, board, and supervision.

ENOUGH!!!!!

Using Newton’s law, if returning Mexican citizens from the US will increase joblessness and increase crime there, then of course that means decreased joblessness and reduced crime here.

Appreciate the writer making the case for Trump’s immigration policy.

I’ve seen the case made that illegal migration is as bad for Mexicans as it is for Americans.

The people who enter our country illegally are those who are most disaffected. Mexico allows them to leave because it reduces pressure on the government to do anything to fix its societal problems.

When we send the illegals back, it puts the pressure back on the Mexican government. It will have to address the problems that make life so miserable for these people. In the long run, they will be better off than they are by coming here to either be virtual slaves or welfare dependents. It will take a while.

It seems to me that if we can largely stem the flow of drugs into the US and weapons into Mexico, the Mexican authorities will have a much better chance to defeat the cartels. Then maybe Mexico can turn their attention to economic development. They have oil, and lots of factories that used to be in the US...

“What about all of the factories and jobs we’ve sent to Mexico?”

Ticks me off that the Fender company is building guitars in Mexico.

Too too bad, Mexico. Why don’t you work on solving your own miserable problems instead of exporting them to us?

There isn’t going to be a “deportation wave” because there isn’t the organization in place to increase deportations much beyond what we currently do. And even if there were, well, suck it up and deal with it.

Trump 1st wave is to deport all the murderers, rapists, thieves. Mexico doesn’t want them. This situation was created by big government Nixon.

Pre-Nixon local police departments in the US, and in Mexico had a close working relationship. It was local police, not INS, that deported most of the undesireables.

Then Nixon centralized immigration enforcement in the INS and neutered the local police. This poisoned the relationship between police departments.
