G.W. Bush had the ranch in Crawford where he spent weeks at a stretch.
Nixon spent lots of time on some Cuban guy’s boat off the South Florida coast.
Carter and Eisenhower each seemed to live at least 1/3 of the time at Camp David.
Obama lives on a golf course.
There is really no reason that Trump has to be at the White House everyday. The security briefing, reading reports, various appointments. He might not need to go to Washington but once a week or so.
I’m not sure that the security issues of protecting him in Trump tower are any greater than anywhere else.
