Report: Trump was unfamiliar with the scope of the president's job when meeting Obama

President-elect Donald Trump celebrated his status as a Washington outsider during his campaign for the presidency, but his lack of familiarity with the US government appears to be coming into view as he transitions to the White House.

During Trump's private meeting with President Barack Obama on Thursday, Trump "seemed surprised" by the scope of the president's responsibilities, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal.

Trump's aides were also apparently unaware that the entire staff of the president working in the White House's West Wing would need to be replaced, according to The Journal.

If anything Trump might have been surprised by the stuff Obama thought he had to do instead of relying on a competent staff.

Does anyone else remember the days of Jimmy Carter working on the schedule for the White House tennis courts?

It’s called being polite.

Liberals see this a weakness.

Report: Trump was unfamiliar with the scope of the president's job when meeting Obama

Like Obama had a clue after his election. Like Trump never talked to Newt and Pence?

And where did this report rumor originate, since the only two people at the closed-door meeting were Trump and Obama?

It takes an idiot to think that when you give someone the polite “Oh really? I didn’t know that” comment and they think you’re an idiot.

That info would have had to come from Obama...who is still unfamiliar with the job. He knows the perks but not the job.

I would just replace the entire federal government, top to bottom.

I would get rid of a third without replacing them. That includes EPA, BATFE, Department of Education, Department of Energy, Bureau of Land Management, and many others. I'd prosecute anyone at IRS, BLM, or elsewhere who abused government power to persecute conservatives or any other innocent, law-abiding citizens.

Yes, I agree with the title...

Trump thought that his purpose was to own many golf courses.

Obama thought that his purpose was to spend as much time as possible on the golf courses.

I suppose that Alexander the Great was unaware how complicated the Gordian Knot was before he conquered Phrygia.

Goodness what nonsense: “unaware that the entire staff of the president working in the White House’s West Wing would need to be replaced”.

I believe President-Elect Trump fully understands the WH staff needs to go, along with most of the people in the entire Executive Branch. I just wish it would be easier for him to fire all the lazy, commie, anti-American bureaucracy.

You know, filling out basketball tournament brackets, playing footsie with Reggie, flying off in AF1 to Martha’s, and lounging back with his feet up on the Resolute desk.

Just so I understand the article is saying that a multi-billionaire is not equipped or intelligent enough to manage the office of US President yet a former door knocker and multi-bath house user was or is. You are kidding, RIGHT
I believe President-elect Trump was in awe, no doubt about it. Obviously it is a huge responsibility to serve as President. But that is the difference between Trump and the door knocker. Trump IS WILLING TO SERVE the people while the door knocker just wanted service from the people.

I don’t think anyone could truly understand the scope of presidential responsibilities until they are faced with them.

Look at the author’s surname. Abadi is an Arab Iraqi surname. No doubt this douchebag is a goat-f#%king Jihadi.

All I can offer these media sycophants is “watch for wholesale change immediately following the inauguration. For someone they think can’t find the toilet in the White House, I think they will be really unhappy with the near-term results.

Our immoral media are going to throw a number of narratives against the wall to see what sticks

- Trump as ignoramus (an old favorite)
- Trump as war-monger
- Trump as hated by the world
- Trump as dictator
- Trump as corrupt, favor-dispensing crony-capitalist.

ValJar does it all for him anyway. All Obama does is play golf and play figurehead to the American people as an unimpeachable black president so the Left can get their goals accomplished. Well that and professional liar, deceiver and leader of the Muslim Brotherhood chapter of North America...
