MEXICO CITY (AFP) -

Mexico is scrambling to ready its diplomats in the United States to handle millions of undocumented migrants' potential needs following Donald Trump's election, its foreign ministry said.

The ministry's North American team huddled with Foreign Minister Claudia Ruiz Massieu Saturday to "analyze the results of the US election and discuss concrete actions concerning the future of the bilateral relationship" between the two countries, according to a statement.

The meeting follows the Republican billionaire's victory last Tuesday in a campaign which saw him call illegal Mexican migrants "rapists" and pledge to build a wall along the southern US border.

“The only thing an “undocumented migrant” NEEDS is a ticket back to where he came from!!!!!”

They got here...I shouldn’t have to pay for their ticket

to get back home...

E-Verify, No SSI, No Social Security, no EBT,
$5,000 to $50,000 fines for employers.

Immigrants are supposed to have persons to guarantee
that they will not be a burden on society...

BTW...We had an associate Church Minister preaching for
the Hispanic congregation...he was here in the U.S.A
on a student VISA...visa period came to an end...we
did everything (legal)to help him and his family
stay...They are now in Mexico.

We are a Nation of Laws.
Remember...Most U.S. Hispanic(Citizens) are Law and Order
Americans...& and they are Patriotic...
Some are my Loved Ones ! ( ; )

” Mr. Trump showed improvement in the border counties(Texas). While his statewide vote was less than McCain and Romney, his percentage of border county voters improved. He reversed the declining trend in these counties and received 38.35 percent of the vote in these predominantly Hispanic Democrat counties. This compared favorably to Romney’s 27.39 percent and McCain’s 37.54 percent.

Trump won six of these counties – Brewster, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis, Kinney, and Terrell. McCain and Romney also won these counties.”

Those Mexican diplomats should be counseling thousands upon thousands of legal immigrants and US born “Mexican Americans” on new uses for their garages...uses that don’t require refrigerators, hot plates, bottled water, and porta potties.

Yes, it’s true that quite a lot of the population around Mexico city, and southern Mexican cities, is descended from European ancestors. Went back and forth in early 90’s to Villahermosa, with layover in Mexico City. Blue-eyed (Swedish appearance) blonde Mexicans speaking Spanish was an interesting twist.

I took a summer session at the Tech University in Monterrey and remember a tall, red headed Mexican instructor. Folks in the dining hall were mostly 5 feet tall...

“indios”: Indigenous peoples of Mexico (Spanish: pueblos indígenas de México), or Mexican Indians (Spanish: indios mexicanos) are those who are part of communities that trace their roots back to populations and communities that existed in what is now Mexico prior to the arrival of Europeans.

Lisping `Castilian’ Mexicans (it’s not racist, it’s their nationality) think of indios about the same way Vietnamese look down their noses at Montagnards: loin-cloth wearing, crossbow wielding, hill-dwelling people of the central highlands ... with contempt.

The Mexican government printed cartoon pamphlets showing indios how to jump our border, what to do once they got here—how to file for social services/complain to their consulate, etc.
And indios send money (`remittances’) home: Mexico’s largest source of income—more than Pemex oil or tourism. Or income from American industry that moved south.

So pre-Trump it’s been win/win for Mexico, while America has had to support them.
American workers, like roofers and concrete finishers, etc., have watched while Mexicans (it’s not racist, that’s their nationality) take their jobs because they can work for far less than the living wage Americans require. And the indios are happy to get it. The border has been so porous, many work part-year then return home to live off their earnings then return like the swallows to Capistrano.

Once Trump gets deportations of `garden variety’ border jumpers started—felons have priority—and we have real border security (not Mattel e-security: “See here? Secure! Now give us amnesty.”) we can start allowing guest workers into the country for things like meatpacking, harvests and so forth.

American Castilians can either mow their own lawns and make their own beds, without subsidies from the rest of us, or they can pay indio guest workers—or here’s a novel thought: American workers.

Wife and I have visited the beaches on the Mexican Pacific and saw the Indio/Euro split up close. Taller, lighter skinned Mexicans managed the desks at the hotels. Darker Indians served the drinks.
My summer session at the Tech (highly regarded university in the Americas) was back when I was in high school in the 60s. Again, the management and instructors acted superior to the smaller, brown natives. It's no wonder they are looking for a better life outside their homeland.
