Donald Trumps transition team is reportedly considering Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, Sheriff David Clarke and outgoing Maricopa County, Arizona, Sheriff Joe Arpaio as possible nominees to head up the Department of Homeland Security.
Clarke has made a name for himself as a Fox News pundit and avid supporter of the gun lobby, using his platform in the media to attack Black Lives Matter, which he describes as a lawless, subversive and potentially ISIS-linked group composed of black slime that must be eradicated, and to champion the cause of anti-government militants, whom he praises as patriots.
When white supremacists murdered six people at a Sikh temple in Milwaukee County, Clarke faced criticism for being AWOL. In September, an inmate died of thirst in a jail run by Clarke. He reportedly begged for water in the days before he died.
He has also compared Beyonce to a Ku Klux Klan member, called for the Great Seal of the United States to feature a semi-automatic rifle, and repeatedly demanded a literal uprising against the government in protest of President Obamas gun violence proposals, potential election rigging and marriage equality.
Today, Clarke tweeted that those protesting Trumps election must be quelled.
Arpaio, who lost his bid for re-election on Tuesday but emerged as a frequent companion of Trumps on the campaign trail, may have a tough road to being confirmed if hes nominated, as he was recently charged with contempt of court after federal prosecutors saidhe willfully defied a judges orders to stop targeting Latinosincluding citizens and legal immigrantsin traffic stops and other law enforcement efforts.

Sheriff Joe will be put in charge of Guantanamo Bay. Pink Prison outfits with lace, and pulled pork for every meal.
Well that’s a one two punch for liberal insanity. LoL.
“Although a good choice, Joe A at 84 is a bit long in the tooth.”
That is his biggest problem but otherwise a fine choice.
I hope Clarke gets the job. He’s just the guy we need in there to clean up that DHS rat hole.
I’m all for Sheriff Joe, but isn’t he getting up there? I think Sheriff Clarke would be the better pick.
100 days of CHRISTmas mornings!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but Joe will probably be behind a desk directing other DHS agents what to do. It’s not like he’d be in the field, chasing down illegal aliens, or jihadists.
Joe has a treasure of info to share. Certainly an advisor position would be helpful to the administration.
He could head a task force to get the goods on Soros, for example.
Good!! It’s about time we’ll have people in office who aren’t afraid of the rats.
Clarke is a good guy, but don’t know if he’s ready for such a huge bureaucracy such as DHS. A couple of magnitudes of order a bigger organization than a county police department. That said, he’d probably do a good job — plain spoken outsider who doesn’t suffer fools.
I love both of these men. They deserve to be recognized for their fearless defense of liberty and the rule of law.
it looks like all of our cabinet dreams are about to come true!
OMG, if Arpaio gets it, they will have to create a new government agency just to clean up all the liberal exploded heads nationwide.
Rancid Prius is an horrific selection for CHief of Staff! That boy has proven he can be manipulated, and he doesnt have a loyalk bone in his body! PLEASE dont let this be true...I understaND ABOUT KEEPING YOUR ENEMIES CLOSE...BUT THIS IS JUST not SMART, IN MY OPINION!!
Sheriff Joe for Head of ‘ICE’!
Awaiting liberal heads exploding.
True, but at least he’s not “pre-corrupted” by having prior exposure to the DC way of thinking.
I say find a place for both of them in DHS!
Clarke is fine by me for Homeland Security; let Arpaio run the border patrol, that will really stick it to the left.
go trump go!!! Those two togeteher, would make one HECK OF A TEAM! Just Stand back and let them work!
