I get the motivation for a parent to want to do this (kill child molesters), but he needs to be very careful.
Even if this Step-father continued to get away with his vigilante acts, I have always heard that once you have knowingly killed somebody, it is much easier to kill somebody else after that. I’d be concerned that his rationale would become more generalized, more prone to assumption.
I live in Nebraska and haven’t heard anything about this. If 27 people have been killed it would be huge news all over the state.
