“Their major focus is trying to get members of the U.S. Electoral College to change their vote, arguing that Clinton should be the next president because 60.47 Americans voted for her, compared to 60 million for Trump.”
Corrected for accuracy:
Their major focus is trying to get members of the U.S. Electoral College to change their vote, arguing that Clinton should be the next president because 60.47 Americans voted for her, compared to 60 million for Trump, OF THE COUNTED VOTES.
No one can be declared the winner of the popular vote unless ALL the votes are counted. And that includes all absentee ballots!
Yes. Count the absentee ballots, investigate all accusations of voter fraud... and chances are, we’ll discover Donald Trump won the popular vote as well.
I don’t think either number is totally correct.
How many absentee and mail-in ballots were actually counted? I am under the impression that neither class of ballots are actually counted unless the split between the two political parties is extremely close - think Florida in 2000.
If I am correct then Hillary’s total vote counte could end up lower, perhaps much lower, than Trump’s. Then what?
