I attended both political conventions, for work in the security structure. It was the stark disconnect between what I saw with my own eyes, and what I saw on TV that changed the way I will view media for the rest of my life. The news wasn't reporting the story accurately. It wasn't even at a level that could be called "bias." The media, including Fox, was reporting what they wanted to report, which was the opposite of what actually happened.
The news media lies, I have seen it first hand. They act out of their own interests and not the interests of the truth.
After watching that clip, I actually hate Joe more now than ever.
Interestingly enough, he didn’t even use the words propaganda or propagandist. Two words that startled me more than the omission of those words were, “Constitutional Republic”.
He actually knew we were a Constitutional Republic. Yikes.
The Left generally thinks in terms of us being the world’s leading Democracy.
He did lay it out pretty well though.
Unfortunately, this same bias extends to “new” media, too.

Exactly. I never get my news from the MSM. I always get my news from Free Republic. And I’m sure there are millions more like me who get their news from sources other than the MSM.
The “time for recrimination” is just beginning, Joe. And we WILL “name names.”
Joe is being way too kind, they didn’t start doing this a month ago - they’ve done for the past 30 years or more.

Agreed and the other thing he got wrong was when he said “a month ago.” This cr*p has been going on for years and although we knew it, the exposures by Wikileaks made it clear.
Many of us who believed Trump would win kept very quiet about it behind enemy lines—not just because as a general rule it is not wise to anger people—but because we didn’t want to say anything that would motivate them to work harder for their candidate.
This was a turnout election, and some of the Democratic base did stay home.
The MSM overplayed their hand, proving they are stupid as rocks as well as biased.

I couldn’t even watch FNC on election night until around 11pm EST. I just refreshed Freeper Live Election thread. Ran through all the emotions as the Freepers declared a loss at 7:45pm when FL not looking good. and then the numbers changed! Then I could turn on the news.
I don’t think anybody gets it.
They were not “wrong”. What they were trying to do did not work. That is all.
They slanted the news and produced bogus poll results, not because they are stupid, but in order to produce the election results they all wanted (and which their handlers wanted, by the way).
If there’s any mea culpa going on at this point, it’s just to try to regain enough credibility to do the same thing again, next time.

The recriminations are about not doing the right thing to elect Mrs Bill, not in being strictly partisan. They didn’t do it smart enough.
