Outgoing Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., is at the top of President-elect Trump's list for secretary of defense, according to a Washington Post report published Friday evening.
Other candidates up for the Pentagon chief slot are retired Army Lt. Gen. Joseph "Keith" Kellogg, former Defense Intelligence Agency director Gen. Mike Flynn and Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions.

Sources said Ayotte's neoconservative background would help her serve as a liaison between the GOP establishment in Congress and Trump administration. She would also be the first woman to oversee the Defense Department.
I do believe that the neo-cons will try their hardest to be placed within the Administration in order to push their war-mongering goals, but right now I suspect we’ll be hearing lots more dis-information reports designed to create fear and doubt and dismay among the patriots. Over the next few months, rumors from A-Z will be rampant.
What we do know is that DJT excels at being able to judge character/skill sets and make great matches between people and positions. I’ll wait to hear hard news directly from the Trump Administration spokesperson.

Instead of Ayotte I wonder if Michelle Bachmann would be available for a post. She is sharp and conservative as they get and would be loyal to Trump.
