That certainly fits into such a sad scenario. You’re right, it isn’t free. “Free” would, if literally true, eventually gravitate towards a traditional monogamous heterosexual marriage situation. That’s how God gave us all the pieces to fit. All the rest is kind of like making stunt figures out of balloons.
People CAN learn from study and discussion what the concerns of people in different walks of life are.
But yes, there is a level at which she wouldn’t be able to speak from sheer identification.
Shellbacks were never involved in touching each other’s privates. I don’t know where this so-called “expert” is getting her info but she’s wrong. Maybe this was something the outgoing CiC secretly wanted to implement in the Navy.
I went to a secondary boarding school, and it was coed, so guys had girlfriends, for sure, but we lived to together in a dorm. I feel like I should remember these things, and maybe I would if I thought about it long enough, but we had all kinds of little joking rituals which would feign homosexual attraction, only to reject it in disgust, all within the span of a few seconds. Of course, these would be reduced to formulas, which took no time at all. I can honestly say I have no knowledge of any actual homosexual contact among my cohorts during that time, and these rituals I speak of served the purpose of keeping this the case, just as you declare.
