Too bad the WV Governor is a Dim.

I’ve been thinking Trump could tap some Dim Senators from red states for cabinet posts in narrow area where they agree with Trump. Create a hole in the Senate ranks of Dims where a GOP governor could refill it with a GOP Senator — there are 36 states where the guv fills the vacancy until the next election, and only 8 of those require it be refilled with someone of the same party.

Then if the Dim cabinet member doesn’t do Trump’s agenda, he can be fired but at least Trump “reached out” and tried to be “inclusive” and “non-partisan”. Meanwhile, we have padded the Senate GOP majority.

I have no doubt that Manchin will switch parties - if he wants to remain in the Senate. His state has clearly shifted too a solid red state. He is probably thankful that Reid made this state so he can refer to it as proof that democratic ideology is no longer in line with his own.

It’s true, he is a flip-flopper and was an Obama tool.
