Roger Goodell says Donald Trump’s comments about women make his job ‘harder at home, too’ (NFL)

The impending presidency of Donald Trump was a prime topic for NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell during a conference Thursday in New York.

Goodell admitted to interviewer Andrew Ross Sorkin that the coarseness of some of Trump’s comments about women, captured in an “Access Hollywood” video, were a challenge to explain, particularly to his 15-year-old twin daughters. Sorkin, in the New York Times DealBook conference, asked if those comments made his job more difficult, particularly after the league’s 2014 domestic violence crisis led to changes in the league’s policy and the commissioner’s promise to do a better job.

“Listen, it makes my job harder at home, too,” Goodell said of Trump’s comments. “I have twin daughters and a wife and so I have to explain that to them. So yes, on that front. Does it make it harder publicly?

“Listen, I think our country has to have more respect for one another and we have to unite. I saw some very positive signs of that yesterday with our current president, Hillary Clinton’s comments publicly and others coming together and saying, ‘We have to get together, we have to unite, we have to address some of the issues and work together.’ President Trump is our president so let’s get behind him.”

Rush summed it up yesterday. We need to treat liberals like the U.S. treated Japan post WW 2.

Goodell is an idiot who is making the NFL irrelevant. Married to Jane Skinner, former HW Bush Transportation Secretary and Chief of Staff, son of NY RINO Senator Charles Goodell. Goodell is an all around loser and cuck.

I think people are more concerned that your SJW policies have destroyed a sport they used to watch, but hey, if you’d rather bash an alpha male who gets things done...

Get over it!

Wonder what Goodall said about women 20 years ago or in private if a fat disordered slob like rosie made public insults

He really does want to pull a 0.0 rating, doesn’t he?

What an incredible a**hole. And the NFL wonders why their ratings are floundering.

Hey Roger, just throw the damned ball!

No doubt Goodell’s daughters will be enduring great suffering in life because of this election.

Now is the time to really ramp up the NFL boycott. The media said the 20-30% decrease in NFL viewers was due to the elections. The elections are over, so Goodell would have to admit that continued falling ratings are due to the anti-American displays at their games.

More political pontificating from the NFL. This is exactly why everyone stopped watching in the first place.

The NFL is trying to become like a nanny state; telling its viewers what to think and how to feel.

Turn the NFL off. Just say no to their weekly propaganda.

I guess his daughters aren’t embarrassed by Goodell demeaning women by having the scantily dressed dancers twerking on the sidelines of every NFL game

I have only half heartedly boycotted the NFL. My husband has the NFL package on on Sundays from sunup to sundown. Not this week. I am going to insist that we leave the house and do something together as a family instead of wasting one second on the NFL.
