Democrats appear to have thought that since Hillary Clinton lost, Republican lawmakers would put her email indiscretions to rest, but today, as The Washington Post reports, a top House Republican said Wednesday he will continue to investigate Hillary Clintons use of a private email server as secretary of state.
Jason Chaffetz, the Utah congressman finishing his first term leading the powerful House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, made it clear the partisan bitterness that marked the presidential campaign is not going to go away.
It would be totally remiss of us to dismiss [the email investigation] because shes not going to be president, Chaffetz said of the defeated Democratic nominee.
I still have a duty and obligation to get to the truth about one of the largest breaches of security at the State Department, he said. Tens of thousands of documents still have not been turned over to Congress.
Last week, senior Republican lawmakers were openly discussing the prospect of impeaching Clinton for setting up a private email server for official State Department business, even though the FBI concluded after two investigations that she should not be criminally prosecuted.
But now that the former secretary of state has lost her bid for presidency that threat has gone. But Chaffetz said he has a duty to find thousands of Clintons communications that have not been made public to determine if they contain classified information. He also said some State Department employees who helped set up the email server in her New York home could lose their security clearances.

Yes! Don’t let up on this woman and her criminal schemes.
“Now, THEREFORE, I, GERALD R. FORD, President of the United States, pursuant to the pardon power conferred upon me by Article II, Section 2, of the Constitution, have granted and by these presents do grant a full, free, and absolute pardon unto Richard Nixon for all offenses against the United States which he, Richard Nixon, has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 20, 1969 through August 9, 1974.”
Somehow I don’t expect Trump to hand out a blanket pardon for decades of Treason by the Clinton’s.
But that is a great quote, thanks!
Well, it appears they either don't think, or don't think very well.
It's not just "politics" She appears to be involved in massive criminal activity that should be properly investigated, and that duty falls to the "loyal opposition".
It's also criminal that she was allowed to run in the first place....which is also exposing hundreds or thousands of RATs to prosecution themselves.
LOCK HER UP!!
yeah and I bet Obama is worrying about what to do pardon her or not..lol...he’s got 2 months to stew on it.
>> Democrats “Extremely Disappointed”
Paternalistic scumbags
Hillary would’ve targeted Trump and political enemies if she was successful for nothing really and she has broken laws so brazenly that an example needs to be set and equal justice under law.
