I would be shocked if we didn’t move forward and keep our commitment to the American people.”

Anyone believe him?

Not for a minute. The Turtle is a lying sack of poo. He's just worried about his own a$$ now and will say anything. Pathetic is all I can think of when I hear his name.

Maybe Trump will issue 300 million Obamacare waivers.

Kill the IRS penalty. Allow free and portable competition. Eliminate the mandate for ins companies to take anyone. Allow for basic plans. Allow hospitals and trauma centers to say no to illegals and non-payers. Install tort reform.

” Repeal the ACA but eliminate the prohibition on crossing State lines WRT insurance.”

That wouldn’t do any good. Demographics and insurance laws (still) vary considerably from state to state. An insurance company in a climate favorable to their business is not going to sell insurance to a riskier area without raising rates — making them just like the local companies you are trying to escape.

We need to make our voices heard with our state’s senators.

For all the good that will do here in NY, but we can try anyway.

Repeal Obamacare. Yes.

And then implement policies that facilitate lower health care insurance rates — competition across state lines, for example, and tort reform.

I’m not asking Republicans to “guarantee” anything. I’m expecting them to implement solutions that in fact bring health care insurance rates back to where they were 4 years ago, and even less than that eventually.

But that is up to the insurance company. They are eager to expand their influence into lots of areas. Different demographics and high risk areas are still insurable, just with different packages. Let the market do its thing and watch the magic.

Repeal the ACA but eliminate the prohibition on crossing State lines WRT insurance. This will allow natural competition and give the results needed.

No it won't. Insurance companies will sell if they can make a profit. If they are not currently selling insurance in a state then they haven't got the established network of doctors and hospitals and other healthcare providers. Without that network they can't keep their expenses at a pre-negotiated level. And they aren't going to establish a network for a handful of customers. So their chance to make money is almost non-existent. You can remove the restriction but you can't force companies to participate.

The first priority of the Congress will be to figure out how to charge US their ‘donor’ contributions before January 2017. The Republicans have done nothing to stop the spread of the deadly virus of progressives.. instead they have taken their ‘fair’ share of we the people's wealth...

The only thing Mitch the Senate has done ‘rightly’ was to refuse Texas Cruz a resolution of eligibility... NOT even Mitch the Senate would cross that ‘Constitutional’ line.

They only need 50.

They've only needed 51 for six years now. And what good did it do?

I don’t believe him. But I do believe Trump, and if one could do the American people and the American economy the greatest service, would be to get rid of the worse law since Prohibition.

Over half the states in the country have some form of tort reform and there is zero evidence that it has helped control healthcare insurance costs. Malpractice insurance costs, yes. But not healthcare. Competition across state lines, leaving aside the 10th Amendment issues, would do nothing to reduce costs.

Actually I do. Mitch goes with the flow and appeases the powerful. Also, he knows Trump will actually sign a repeal whereas Obama never would nor would there be enough votes to overide the veto.

It boils down to Donald’s mandate. He did this without them and can push them as hard as he wants if he has OUR support...which he does for the foreseeable future.

Failure to cooperate means adios, although Mitch isn’t up in ‘18.
