Shares of gun manufacturers took a big hit Wednesday morning, after news that Donald Trump won the U.S. presidential election.
Smith & Wesson and Sturm, Ruger & Co. each fell more than 12 percent after Trump defeated Hillary Clinton, and the Republicans retained control of the House and the Senate.

i wonder if gun and ammo prices might start coming down They are as good as they are going to get. Back to pre-Sandy Hook levels for the most part. I guess 22 are never going back to that.
Online shop for ammo. If you are willing to buy a case at a time prices are pretty good. You can get free shipping sometimes and depending where you are, no sales tax.

I don’t blame investors for this. Let’s face it, firearms industry’s Salesman of the Year for the last eight years is retiring on 20 January. They will miss him.

Buy low, sell high. As the old saying goes, buy straw hats in January, sell them in July.

Well, thanks for Prop 63 passing in California, residents will need a permit (renewal every 4 years) in order to purchase ammunition. Swell.

The good news: I am offering a special on a hi-test fishing line and super magnet combo. To retrieve all those guns that folks here lost in all those boating mishaps?

Yeah, unfortunately now that the election is over I suspect the Democrats will begin pushing mentally ill to go on shooting rampages again.

Now its up. Last night the futures were WAY down. The gunmakers have had a great 8 years. Just because The Donald will be President doesn’t mean that the danger has passed. In fact, the cornered rats are likely to become even MORE dangerous.

Second Amendment defenders do not make the best gun salesmen.
PING!

Panic buying over, normal prices return. Maybe we can finally get some decently-priced .22 LR ammo.

A Hillary win would have sparked a run on guns and ammo in anticipation of bans. Trump means no panic to buy before a ban. Normal business mode.

They will if Trump orders the sale of all the excess weapons and ammo that the uniparty has hoarded up the past 8 years.

A nice set of vintage Smith & Wesson N-frame stocks like these can run you close to a grand nowadays! My first S&W 629 4" was purchased in 1999. It had Hogue Monogrips. That is the case for most that I purchased subsequently. The single exception is a recently acquired Performance Center 627 8-shot with 5" barrel and wood stocks. It's a different feel compared to the Monogrips. I have many N-frame revolvers. The L-frame with a Monogrip is my favorite combination. The J-frame triggers always pinch my trigger finger. Not a good geometry for me.
