This whole thing poses the question about whether Donald won Wisconsin with help from Reince and Ryan or in spite of them.

I would say from Trump's warm embrace of Reince last night that he will embrace Ryan as well and find himself working with Ryan as Speaker.

Hannity is the real deal though, he is ready for the purging of the ranks JUST like he said he would support. No amnesty, just pure driving of the stake through the heart.

But again, that Trump won Wisconsin, I can't see how the speakership now changes.

I saw trumps embrace of Reince as a way of affirming trump as head of the GOP and his thanking Reince for bringing the RNC into line
Some rumor reince could become chief of staff which would move the GOP along with trumps policies and agenda
If so Ryan is not needed and is not to be trusted anyway for reasons trump may know more about than we do
Someone even mentioned Jeff Sessions as a contender fir the House GOP speaker - which would be quite interesting and put another good man in the line of succession and in the important and largely Ryan-abandoned responsibilities of the HOR delegation of powers.... Taxes, budgets, legislation ( think immigration) and declaration of war

I see it the other way. Trump recognized Rinsed but not Ryan, whose name was conspicuously absent. Trump’s no dummy and remembers people who are disloyal and sneaky.

Trump does not look at politics that way, i.e., “Ryan helped me win Wisconsin therefore I will reward him with the speakership.”

At least I hope not; that’s the opposite of the man I thought I was voting for.

Loyalty is different than quid pro quo.

Whatever influence Trump has over who is speaker and other key leadership spots, I hope he uses it to choose people who will drain the swamp, and do so aggressively, relentlessly, ahead of schedule, under budget, and according to the constitution.

That is not Paul Ryan. If Trump starts appointing people because he owes them, that will be the first indication that he’s just another politician cutting deals.

I don’t think Trump is planning to dissappoint us with that kind of crap.

Now, saying nice things about Hillary, Rience, Putin or whoever, that’s fine - you schmooze, you make nice. The campaign is over, mend fences - but no favors, no compromises, no back room deals.

The thing I didn’t like is Trump giving props to Prince Reibus last night. That guy should be fired and deserved to be fired after the first election he lost. Even this time Trump won IN SPITE of the RNC. Hell the RNC was attacking Trump to the point Trump had to spend his own $$$$ for his campaign.

Just because Trump praised Reince doesn't mean that he wants Ryan. Apparently Trump thinks that Reince was loyal.

Adios Ryan.
