Now that Donald Trump has been elected the 45th president of the United States, the discussion among the punditry turns to who he may appoint to his cabinet. Should he award those who have been most loyal to him throughout his campaign, then we obviously need to look at former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Gov. Chris Christie, Newt Gingrich and Gen. Michael Flynn, and Dr. Ben Carson, all of whom have stood by Trump's side and have come to his defense time and again throughout the past several months.

The Today Show Twitter account surmised Giuliani will eventually assume the role of attorney general, Gingrich will be secretary of state and Flynn will be secretary of defense...

Trump has to be careful with Cristi. You got to know the dem’s want to indict him on some charge. Trump on Jan 20th must appoint a decent prosecutor in NJ hopefully before they go full bore on Cristi.

Mike Huckabee would be a great Press Secretary. I'm thinking Jeff Sessions will have to stay in the US Senate to help drain out that swamp. Mike Flynn gets to choose whatever he wants. Ben Carson for a cabinet position. Sara Palin for Department of Energy, if she wants it. Trump is known for rewarding loyalty, and these people have been the best throughout the campaign.

It's astounding that the know-nothing pundits are saying Trump won't be able to put together a government. DUHHHH.....he's already enlisted incredibly competent people who have worked with him on every policy he's developed.

Rudy was a hell of a US Attorney. He’d get the job done in Justice. Cannot be worse than Lynch. That is a low-ass bar.

He owes Michigan and Wisconsin big time. Virginia? He lost so here it is: Move the House of Representatives to Detroit and the Senate to Milwaukee. Property values will go down in D.C. amongst the political class-serves them right.

Heard rumor of newt for Sec State, but I’d prefer him as Chief of Staff if he’d be willing...or the new Speaker...though I think Pence will be asked to manage Congress.

Thoughts on Bolton as Sec State - I was high on him before for the role, now I’m wondering if he’s to tied to the Neos/elites....Still think he would put the US first though.

They have Newt down as Sec of State. I hope Newt get’s offered and takes the position of Chief of Staff. I know it’s not a cabinet level position, but it’s right underneath and more important than a lot of cabinet positions.

He will then be responsible for moving Trump’s agenda through Congress and this is what Newt is perfectly suited for. He will be the liaison between Trump and the Congress and get important legislation moved through like repeal and replace Obamacare. America needs Newt as Chief of staff.

Trump said early on in the campaign his cabinet may consist of some folks who(paraphrase)may be ruthless in their approach to dealing with issues.

...GOOD!...to drain the swamp it may take those who have actually lived in the swamp.

A quick question for all. Can Obama make a recess appointment to the US Supreme Court?

I don’t in any way want this to happen, but you can never trust the Socialist in our current administration.

Pence has to be on Cloud 9. He is on the path to be POTUS down the road.

He thought he was going to run for Governor and ends up VP.

I like Newt for White House Chief of Staff.

I do too. But somehow I just don't see it happening.
