Patrick Caddell: The real election surprise? The uprising of the American people
FoxNews.com ^ | November 7, 2016 | Patrick Caddell

Posted on 11/07/2016 7:06:29 PM PST by metmom

For more than two years the American people, in a great majority, from left to right, have been in revolt against the political class and the financial elites in America. It is a revolt with historic parallels, most closely resembling the Jacksonian revolution of the 1820s. It is an uprising. It is a peaceful uprising of a people who see a country in decline and see nothing but failure in the performance of their leadership institutions. And they have signaled their intent to take back their country and to reclaim their sovereignty.

Unfortunately, the analysts, the pollsters and most importantly the commentariat of the political class have never understood, and in fact are psychologically incapable of understanding what is happening. And for the entire cycle of this presidential campaign they have failed to grasp what was happening before their eyes – for it runs counter to everything they believe about themselves.

In truth, they are suffering from cognitive dissonance believing in their righteous superiority and are not capable of realizing that it is they who have become the adversary of the American people. And therefore they have been wrong, in this entire election cycle, every step of the way.

“In truth, this is the final push of what started as “The TEA Party,” whose motto was always “Throw the bums out!””

IMHO this election is nothing more than an extension of the TEA Party.

He didn't start it, he just was instrumental in revealing it.

Trump did not start the rebellion of the people against the Washington elite. The rebellion created Trump. He simply picked up the sword on the field of battle and lead the ongoing rebellion.

Washington DC needs a wrecking ball to batter down the incestus elite of goverment both democrat and republican, media, and global business interests.

Trump is the wrecking ball we need!

ps
Trump was not my first or second or third choice. However, watching this election has changed my mind. Bring on the wrecking ball, it is needed.

I have no problem with you pinging homeschoolers with that article. Best article this year, and will ultimately affect homeschooling.

Thank you.

In victory or defeat Trump has kicked down the door of the system and showed us what we can do. The crimes of the establishment in this election have opened our eyes to the true nature of our rigged system.

We are a nation divided on many issues. We are also a people increasingly united in our disgust with the status quo and loathing for our worthless self-appointed masters. The discontented are a growing majority.

They only way we fail is if we fight between ourselves.

The political class is “not capable of realizing that it is they who have become the adversary of the American people.”

True. The liberals are stuck in Plato’s cave where prisoners:
compete to show who can insult others the best; are chained by inferiority and cannot be thankful about anything; are chained by envy and do not know that thankfulness breaks the chains; sadly reject the grace that we all need from God.

The insults toward Bush in 2004 were wicked, toward Palin in 2008 were brutal and toward Trump are boring fleas bouncing off a workhorse. I listened to KFI tonight in Los Angeles at 545pm when John and Ken told callers to call in and announce their vote. All callers said they are voting for Trump.

2. The country is run by an alliance of incumbent politicians, media pundits, lobbyists and other powerful money interests for their own gain at the expense of the American people. AGREE = 87%; DISAGREE = 10%

3. Most politicians really care about people like me. AGREE = 25%; DISAGREE = 69%

4. Powerful interests from Wall Street banks to corporations, unions and political interest groups have used campaign and lobbying money to rig the system for them. They are looting the national treasury of billions of dollars at the expense of every man, woman and child. AGREE = 81%; DISAGREE = 13%

I don't think it will happen, but if there is evidence of massive fraud (or any fraud) in a Trump loss (the only way it will happen), he'll fight like a cross between a pitbull and a 'gator.

Of that I am absolutely positive. This is a completely different breed from our past GOP milquetoast bunglers.

Trump is the vessel through which a movement (I would argue which crystallized with the Tea Party) is expressing itself. And its not going away any time soon.

That's right cause even if God forbid, Trump loses, we are still going to be here and will not change how we think.

Thanks, Metmom, for posting this. I had a well-deserved antipathy for Caddel going back to his Jimmah Carter days. Boy, what respect I have for him now. When Caddel speaks, the tv is on high volume!

This is definitely worth the watch.

It’s only 10 minutes long.

Different forms of Government.

A MUST SEE for anyone interested in this election. It’s only 10 minutes and the single best explanation of government I have ever seen.

Spread it around. We are seeing this today.

The author left out the central theme of the Jacksonian revolution: The US Bank having politicians and journalists on its payroll in order to protect the Political class’s increasing control over the country.
