German President Joachim Gauck said he was worried about the prospect of Donald Trump winning the race for the White House, citing the US Republican hopeful’s “unpredictability” as a cause for concern, according to a magazine interview published on Sunday. […]

The German president, whose role is largely ceremonial, said he hoped “that American democracy, which does not allow the president to act as an autocrat, that the system of checks and balances, of mutual control” of power would be maintained. …

He said nothing when Obama acted as an autocrat, funny enough.

He and other foreigners (including Holland of France, who said the thought of Trump as president made him want to vomit) need to SHUT THEIR MOUTHS.

If Trump is the pick of the American people, then to insult him is to also insult the people.

And they have no business meddling in our internal affairs.

He’s not worried about checks and balances in the EU’s government in Brussels, somehow.

Face it. The Europeans will either pay their fair share for NATO or there will be no NATO.

The POTUS should be unpredictable and feared. As opposed to Obama.

The Germans and others are scared to death that Trump will stop playing Uncle Sap and demand that they start paying their fair share of defense costs. The US has been providing the security umbrella over Western Europe since the end of WWII. This has allowed the expansion of the welfare state. The party is over. The US can no longer afford to be the policeman of the world. Pay up or face the consequences.

Oh, Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy will be quite predictable. I predict that it (God forbid) she sneaks into the White House she’ll immediately implement a no-fly zone in Syria at the behest of her Saudi handlers. Then I predict within a few weeks at least one American city will be destroyed by a Russian nuclear bomb.

I’ll take Trump’s “unpredictability”, thank you very much.

He ought to worry about whether Italy, the nation with the world’s third highest debt load, pulls out of the Euro and whether or not that blows up his precious globalist ecenonmy.

Trump is the least of his worries. Trump is a negotiator. Trump’s father’s side is from Germany, Americans like German cars, they have factories in the southern US. Germany will do fine under a Trump presidency- except for DeutscheBank.

I can see a negotiated trade deal under Trump where global brands agree to manufacture their low end offerings in the country where they will be sold, but where the high end stuff stays in the country of origin. Mercedes would manufacture 250 and maybe 350 series in several countries, but keep the 550 and above in Germany. Same for Porsche, same for BMW, Volkswagen would do something along those lines with the old Phaeton line, which still has the most revolutionary auto air conditioning system.

Basically. He’s the non-royal elected replacement for the Kaiser, what with the government having reverted to the Weimar-style government after the war. His signature is needed for bills to become law, and he has some veto power; he also appoints the chancellor and can order government to convene and dissolve, all powers similar to a king under a constitutional monarchy.

The worrying thing about Hillary Clinton is that she is predictable.

He’s “afraid” of an “unpredictable” Trump, but somehow, an unstable megalomaniac who is provoking Russia and hinting that she wants nuclear war is perfectly okay with him.

Yeah, right.

Both candidates are actually predictable, in that future behavior can be estimated based on observation of past behavior.

Trump is a businessman—he will do what is best for business because of his self-interest, if nothing else. A good economy and peace between nations are good for business.

Hillary has never worked a real job, and everything she has was gotten through taking bribes. She will do what is best for herself, regardless of how many suffer for it. Her “accomplishments” in the Middle East should give any thinking person pause about supporting her.
