Brooks: 2016 A ‘Campaign of Hate,’ ‘Everyone’s Dividing Based on Demographic Categories’ (NYT Hack)
Breitbart ^ | 11-5-2016 | Ian Hanchett

We can go down the list. And, basically, less educated or high school-educated whites are going to Trump. It doesn’t matter what the guy does. And college-educated, going to Clinton. I mean, everyone’s dividing based on demographic categories. And, sometimes, you get the sense that the campaign barely matters. People are just going with their gene pool and whatever it is. And that is one of the more depressing aspects of this race for me.”

He added, “This is just a campaign of hate. And, you know, people who don’t like Trump really don’t like Trump. And I guess I’m among them. And we just saw in our report about the Trump voters in Pennsylvania. Did you see — when they were shouting on the road, did you see anything nice about Trump? No. Send Clinton to jail. And so it’s just — what was it? There was a Burt Lancaster movie where he had love and hate tattooed on his hands. And there’s just a — we’re in a psychosis of what they call negative polari

The hate is one sided, but is definitely real.

But not from our side.

And who has divided Americans? Into white, black, Latin, straight, gay, hetero, homo, trans, questioning and God knows what else, and sought to leverage those divisions for political gain and power? Why, Mr Brooks, it is the Democrat Party.

Exactly. The Democrats have worked for years to build a coalition that votes not on competence or policy but purely on identity.

With mass open-borders immigration, they are on the verge of completing a demographic coalition that will vote entirely on the basis of racial or group identity in the face of any amount of domestic failure and foreign policy disaster by Democrat officials.

No mention of less-educated blacks who voted for “the brutha” in 2008 and 2012.

Brooks is a clueless idiot who lives in his own little bubble, just like the rest of the elites.

People like Brooks are a big reason why I as a Cruz guy finally left #nevertrump two weeks ago.

I'm a conservative attorney. Yes, we do exist. I also grew up in a very working class and rural poverty area of Michigan. Roscommon. I didn't grow up poor, but I wasn't and still am not rich. I see hard working people sneered upon and slurred by the David Brooks of the world and told by Thomas Frank that they vote against their best interest, as these two dipshits know what their best interest is? I see many educated people in the blue collar areas I lived by Lansing and Northfield Township over the years told over and over how uneducated they are by friggin' journalists of all people. Where I live now is highly educated and more white collar semi-rural area, and it's also the most conservative area I've ever lived. Brooks calls us uneducated too.

Screw them all!

This educated douche

He's not educated. He has a BA in history that he doesn't use and works as a friggin' journalist.

The champions of class warfare are now complaining that the election is breaking down into classes. I would point out that this is generally considered hypocrisy, but since it emanates from a liberal’s mouth, it could hardly be anything else.

there are a lot of people who used to be up in society, because of those three good things, are now down, a lot of high school-educated white guys. And they’re — they’ve been displaced."

This is an admission that all the gains by "them" have come at the expense of "us." Now think about that, you clairvoyants in the Democrat Party. Do you really expect white males to simply sit idly by and watch as their position in society, their status, their value, are eroded and given away by social engineers and elitists who think they have a right to play god?

Maybe if you follow the reasoning far enough, it would go light-years toward explaining the appeal of Donald Trump, who is campaigning on a platform of restoring those positions, that status, and those values to middle-class white males.

We're not stupid. We're not haters. We're just angry. And rightfully so.

YOU are the idiots. Because you've underestimated us for the last time ...

To a metrosexual the crease in the pants is the distinguishing feature.

In fact, there are many people with higher degrees who support Trump. You just have to look at Trump’s advisers to see that this is true.

David Brooks’ school teachers do not appear to have taught him that there is a difference between superficial, glib observations, that rely mostly on prejudice and facile preconceptions, and careful analysis that takes pains to look at actual facts.

Because of this flaw in David Brooks’ education, then according to his own logic, he should be voting for Donald Trump.
