Hey, someone had to clean up, empty the ashtrays, save the roaches...

I know you are joking, but when I worked in a SCIF -- we were the janitorial staff.

I suppose that some big companies had a janitors with clearance, but we didn't. So, we had well-compensated engineers doing the dusting, sweeping, emptying the trash, and destroying the contents of the "burn bag".

We constantly joke about how expensive our “janitorial” staff is—literally costs $1000s each week. Few companies would pay the bucks for a janitor to get a TS/SCI. It used to be all military, but that wasn’t “fair.”
