Comey went along with a rigged investigation in which the field agents were not allowed to use a grand jury, ridiculous immunity agreements were handed out, the FBI was ordered to destroy laptop evidence, search and seizure warrants were not used, and the DOJ acted as Hillary’s defense lawyers.
There are reports that Comey came out with his statement on July 5 and cut short the investigation because the FBI field agents were asking to see Hillary’s medical records after she used the excuse of her head injury to not answer questions.
Comey came up with a legally nonsensically standard for “intent” that echoed Obama’s claim that Hillary had no intent to damage national security.
But that’s not the legal standard. Did she deliberately and purposely use a homebrew server knowing that a Secretary of State necessarily deals in national secrets?
Of course. One intends the natural consequences of one’s actions.
And then after falsely claiming she did not have the necessary intent, he then wrongly claimed that the provisions of the statute which would make her guilty of negligence were unconstitutional.
Comey stepped out of his role as FBI director to give the corrupt DOJ cover by lending his reputation to the whitewash.
And we find out Comey knew of the Weiner emails much earlier than he let on, and his hand was only forced by a rebellion of FBI agents. What if Comey had informed Congress two weeks earlier, forcing the DOJ to approve a warrant to read the emails two weeks earlier and giving the FBI field agents more time before the election to figure out whether these emails are evidence of Hillary crimes?
Well, pardon me for breathing, but I thought it was a lot of inside baseball stuff, and not one syllable that gives me any confidence that justice will prevail. In fact, I felt like he was O.K. with how this case seem to be being finessed into oblivion. Thanks, Andy.

As McCarthy notes, the FBI has a certain amount of flexibility in choosing the USA Office where a Grand Jury may be impaneled. The agents pursuing the CGI/CF investigation pointedly asked McCabe if they could ask Preet Bharara (The USA for the SDNY) for a Grand Jury when the Lynchbots at EDNY repeatedly refused. According to The WSJ McCabe told them they wouldn't be allowed to "go prosecutor shopping."
As far as I know, the Deputy Director of the FBI is, oddly enough, The Deputy of the Director.
If James (aka Jimmy the Weasel) Comey really had their backs, why didn't he override McCabe?
The answer is obvious: the "reopening of the investigation" is a sham just as the original investigation was, and Comey did nothing more than quell the revolt in the ranks of the FBI by giving them a sop. As damaging as Comey's letter of intent to Congress might have been a mass of public resignations would have been far more damaging.
0bama's recent remarks make it clear that the fix remains in, and James Comey is the fixer.
Andy McCarthy continues to live in a fantasy world that all US Attorney’s offices are above reproach and deserving of honor. You know, as the Kevin Bacon character told the Tom Cruise character in A a Few Good Men, “I represent the USA without passion or prejudice.” BS. They are all highly political and impeachable.
Andy attributes way too much honor and integrity to people like Comey and Patrick Fitzgerald, the Valerie Plame/Joe Wilson/Scooter Libby special prosecutor just because he once worked with them. He shouldn’t judge them on his memories but on what they actually did or are doing. Or not doing. Since they left Andy’s company they have behaved without honesty or integrity. That diminishes the value of Andy’s insight or opinions.
