Russian state-owned media does little to hide its preferences in the U.S. presidential election.
News reports about the race for the White House on Russian television devote most of their time to elaborating on Donald Trump’s allegations that Hillary Clinton is corrupt and the election is rigged.
On his Sunday program, pro-Kremlin journalist Dmitry Kiselyov said, "Clinton has a choice. Either she gets the presidency or she goes behind bars."
Kiselyov also told viewers that Clinton is backed by US security services and the media - unlike "anti-establishment" Trump.
State-controlled Kremlin TV channels also highlight concerns about Clinton's health and suggest the Democratic party is "panicking" over recent polls. They also linked Clinton to sex scandals.
Aleksei Venediktov, editor of liberal Russian Radio station Ekho Moskvy said, "My colleagues at these channels completely back Trump and show all the bad things about Clinton."
Though Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly denied holding a preference for Republican candidate Donald Trump, experts point out that the two men have similar positions on issues of foreign policy, including regarding Syria and the Ukraine.
The Russian media has put a lot of focus on Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, portraying her as afraid of Russia, and a warmonger responsible for Middle East bloodshed.

I do not fear a militarily strong Russia under the command of a sane man or woman. Russia does not fear a strong USA under the command of a sane man or woman. I fear a strong Russia if we are weak. Russia fears the USA if they are weak.
Russia and I fear the USA under the command of Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is unhinged to the say the least, a serial liar, serial criminal and a debased individual that is obsessed with power. She is a danger to the world.
Yes, Putin wants Trump to win. Putin does not like nor dislike Trump. As a sane man Putin has no wish for thermonuclear war. Hillary Clnton is not sane.
Putin does wish to confront us for influence in the world as we have confronted the old Soviet Union since 1917 except for the period of WWII when we both destroyed the Third Reich of Germany. The USA and our allies shed much blood for this victory. Russia shed more than all of us combined.
Russia today and the USA today are both trying to spread their sphere of influence. This is very normal in history.
There is absolutely no reason that this contest should go to the edge of nuclear war. There are no winners in that contest. Hillary Clinton is a clear and present danger to peace. She is unhinged and a meglomanic.

That was not politics but business. They screwed us because of the corruption and bribing of Hillary Clinton. This was just about dollars in the Clintons pockets. I could make a hell of speech for what they paid the Clintons. I would even do it for a half a million. There are laws about this, but apparently they do not apply to Hillary Clinton.

Death takes a particular toll on people no matter what their life’s goals have been. The nicest people die the most terrible deaths and some of the most terrible people die the nicest of deaths.
I choose to wish for a minimum damage on society for the rest of their lives, and think of what God’s wrath may be. At the same time, I remember that he’s judging me too, and I haven’t been a saint during my life.
This isn’t to give you a hard time. I have no problem with your comments. The Clintons aren’t worthy of my concern outside their ability to harm civilization.
I do want them to answer to man’s justice though. Nobody should be able to live the life they have lived, without being called to account by the society they live within.

Others have said she’ll get off, and they may be right.
I certainly hope not.
I too hope I’m wrong and will be more than happy to admit it should she be prosecuted and sentenced. But I still doubt it will ever involve jail time. That kind of precedent would make too many people in Washington very, very nervous.
They can't take the risk of protecting Bill and Hillary the way they usually protect one another.
Bill and Hill have to be either so totally discredited that no one believes a word they say then locked away far from the public eye in a way that keeps them from letting out a tidbit to grab the spotlight, or they have to be dead.
The risk of either one of them flipping is too great to take and for all the talk about their wealth, their flipping would put billionaires and multi-billion dollar corporations at risk of being destroyed.
What they can spell out wouldn't just would make it difficult for a few elected officials to stay in office, it would lead to the destruction of holdings worth multiple billions of dollars all around the world.
Like the mob guys say, "Why take the risk?"
