It is starting to look like all the guilty parties number into the thousands. This mess easily has the imminent potential of being the worst scandal in US history.
Unfortunately, if history is any guide, thousands of guilty government officials of one party will be converted into no one guilty, and our country will descend deeper into corruption.
I predicted this in the 1990’s. The BEST thing for this country was to nail Bill Clinton when they had the chance. They didn’t. It only encouraged them. They thought that they were fireproof. New laws, everyone said. Enact new campaign finance laws, new ethics laws. Horse Mucus! Convict the guilty, everyone else falls in line.
