Have you ever read Grave’s “Mrs. Milton” about the wife of John Milton? Wow! A brilliant historical novel about the civil wars that nearly destroyed England. But not to be read if you admire Milton personally. (Although it is highly fictionalized.) Milton believed in divorce and this portrayal of marriage makes you understand why, lol.
Yes, I did, many, many decades ago. I sort of ODed on Graves and then, never went back to reread his works. I probably should do, though. Can’t think of any work of his, novel, poetry, his myths stuff, that I didn’t completely enjoy. LOL
