Democratic VP candidate Tim Kaine is holding a rally today at 12:30 PM at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. About 15 people lined up to see Kaine in Iowa. kaine-iowa-loras-dubuque To be fair at least one of the people in line looks like a student on his way to class.

I wouldn't read much into this, as Dubuque is Democrat. WAY Democrat. As in "I'll cut you out of the will, have you excommunicated, and will come back from the dead and pee in your corn flakes every morning until you die" Democrat. The rest of the county sort of leans that way, though less so than the city proper, though there are places like Epworth that have plenty of Partei Uber Alles types (congenitally Democrat, to put it somewhat Algoresquely).

The UAW diehards have put a lot of Clinton/Kaine signs in E Iowa yards over the last week, generally accompanied by signs for every Dem candidate down ticket. They don't even pretend to be voting for anything but The Machine.
