LIVs are at least 50% of the population. How many of them have a clue, that that vile woman was fed the questions pre debate? Or even know what “pre debate” means?
I’m totally ashamed of about half of our country.
She's always gone after both sides hard. She only went off the rails with Trump, and I have the feeling that's as much personal as political.
Thank you for attending. Sorry, I don't recall your handle, but it was many years ago. As the lead coordinator, I dealt with dozens and dozens of volunteers. We had a line out the suite down the hallway the night before just wanting to do something, anything to nail Billy-boy.
Although it was the biggest job I've ever had, it was also one of my biggest rewards. I was so proud to have lead the effort for so many Patriots coming from all over the country.
Original March For Justice committee:
1. A Navy Vet - Lead Coordinator;
2. Bobj - 1st Mate to ANV, financier, and organized the after event at The Octagon for a round-table discussion;
3. Clinton's A Liar - Master of Ceremonies and procurement of celebrity speakers;
4. Joy in DC - on site logistics and helped with speakers and permits;
5. Jolly - secondary logistics and organizer of the Flag Parade and misc.
There were so many other Patriots there who contributed. It was a wonderful day. I've always felt bad that I couldn't watch the speakers, but my duties were to make sure security was in place and cruising the crowd for in-appropriate behavior or other problems, which I encountered many.
The most important thing about that event is how it started. It was simply by a comment of the owner of this board, Jim Robinson, who said he is going to DC on his own dime to stand outside the White House and let Bill Clinton know what for.
His closest confidants asked if they could build from his inspiration. The result was the first Internet multi-state gathering that was later told by the dignitaries the influence that event had on the impeachment of Bill Clinton.
Jim, do I have this correct?
Participated in the Flag Parade ... carried the Marine Corps Globe & Anchor. Served in the Corps in the mid 1960's.
Another too little, too late comer.
I agree with you!!
Maybe we should leave that for President Trump to decide. He may be more "big picture" and able to leave the past in the past than a pile of FReepers are.
Thank you. Too many are willing to sacrifice a conservative over what gets done in the heat of a republican primary campaign.
"Participated in the Flag Parade ... carried the Marine Corps Globe & Anchor. Served in the Corps in the mid 1960's."
Huh? Are you saying Jolly was in the Corps. And yes, she did help organized the Flag Parade because I personally asked her to do so, if she though she could, since I was juggling 5 things at a time. However, didn't actually watch how that came about...always suspected she had help with so many people with Flags were present. If you know of particulars, you could fill in that one big blank in my participation.
All I know is that I'm elsewhere when the Flag Procession started. I missed it.
If you were active 1976-1981 out of Pendleton, I was probably your flight deck sea-going bellhop? Ha!
Defending Lyn’ Ted?! Give it up!!!
Exactly. Trump is a big boy; I’ll bet he can let go of any lingering hard feelings. Hopefully the remaining segment of FReepdom can, too. We have a lot of things to accomplish together...and Trump knows it.
There was an article that stated after Trump put Mike Lee on his Scotus list, and then Cruz endorsed Trump in reality, that the Lee selection was a signal to Cruz from the Trump camp. My memory says it was based on some conversation or agreement Cruz and Trump had had. Trump reached out with the Lee selection, and Cruz responded. Lee rejected the offer. He was still stuck in #nevernevertrumpland. The speculation, though, was that the deal really wasn’t about Lee and Scotus but could have been a signal about Cruz and Scotus.
All of that could be faulty memory and/or pure speculation, but it sticks in my mind for some reason.
Mind you, I’ve been a Trump supporter since before the Iowa caucus vote. I switched the end of last December from Cruz, but I never lost my belief that Cruz is as sharp and capable as they come.
What you said about the Lee/SCOTUS possibility makes sense. I remember how well Trump and Cruz seemed to get along early in the primary season. They had tough words for most everyone except each other. Plenty of us here got excited about the possibility of a Cruz/Trump or Trump/Cruz ticket. The gloves eventually came off, of course, but maybe some degree of respect still exists between them, even if it’s kept on the down low. I was a Cruz supporter through the primaries, but certainly recognize that he blew it in a lot of ways. I’d like to think, though, that Trump will take advantage of all that Cruz has to offer. It would be beneficial to us all!
