Ohio Gov. John Kasich wrote in Sen. John McCain for president, the GOPs 2008 nominee, on his absentee ballot this year.
Chris Schrimpf, the governor's political spokesman, confirmed the write-in vote to cleveland.com and said Kasich voted straight-ticket Republican on the rest of his ballot. Schrimpf added that Kasich was comfortable picking McCain, the 2008 GOP nominee for president, over Trump, Democrat Hillary Clinton and Libertarian Gary Johnson, a former Republican on the ballot as a nonpartisan candidate.
The vote essentially is a symbolic gesture. Because McCain is not among the 18 certified write-in candidates in Ohio, Kasich's vote for president will not count.
Kasichs protest of Trump included not showing up at the Republican National Convention, despite being governor of the state it was held in. He also long pledged not to vote for Trump, even though initially he was among four Republican candidates who said they would support the nominee, whoever it ended up being.
The video released of Trumps lewd comments last month was the last straw for Kasich, apparently.
"Donald Trump is a man I cannot and should not support," Kasich said in an Oct. 8 statement. "The actions of the last day are disgusting, but that's not why I reached this decision, it has been an accumulation of his words and actions that many have been warning about. I will not vote for a nominee who has behaved in a manner that reflects so poorly on our country. Our country deserves better."
Ha! I don’t need to imagine. It magically appears every time I look at his face. He is a true dumb as(s) and idiot. What a joke.
Dork doesn’t expect a job offer from the Trump administration...
Wow, Kasich thanks for being the poster idiot for GOPe. You’ve demonstrated very well their drool-stupidity.
[Kasich = Certified Idiot]
You’re too kind.
Did he take the pledge?

Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.
Please, folks...waste no time verbalizing against John Kasich. The poor man is insane!!! End of story!!!
Could you do me a favor?
If I ever even sound like I might vote for this idiot, could you remind me of this?
I have such a bad memory.
TOAST!!!!!
Didn't think of that.
I left it blank. I considered voting for the Dem (Kirkpatrick), but just couldn't do it. Either way, I DIDN'T vote for McCain. All the rest, straight R ticket. And, yes, it was a joy to vote for Trump!
From yesterday, the take from The Hill:

John is an idiot.
Nothing more deplorable than self-righteousness. This man will never have my respect again.
The insinuation is that at one time he did?
And he felt the need to tell everyone
He is not worth wasting any more words over.
Those of us who realize that America, her rooted families, their multi-generational values and purpose are at stake, must get on with the only effort that makes any sense: Electing Donald Trump, whose priorities are our priorities; whose purpose is our purpose; who in a time of crisis has stepped into the breach to fight for us.

Kay-Sick probably voted for himself and just said he voted for McCain. He is such a legend in his own mind, he can’t stand that he didn’t win the nomination of his adoring RINO party. Thank God he is term-limited and can’t run for governor again, but I look for him to run for another state office or for senator. The GOP-RINO’s in this state just play musical chairs with elected office. ~~~sigh~~~
