But that would be impossible! There isn't enough time to clear her before the election. Any partial exoneration that they could possibly proffer in so short a time (e.g., "So far, we haven't uncovered any e-mails dealing with giving Uranium to the Russians, or with allowing the Iranians to continue with their atomic weapons program") would be equivalent to "damning her with faint praise."
