Of course, for many conservatives hearing these survey results, their first response is likely along the lines of, “Good riddance. Can we start with the workers at the VA?” That’s not just anecdotal either. A different survey previously highlighted in the same outlet showed that a significant majority of Trump voters aren’t exactly wild about federal workers to begin with.
Donald Trump supporters do not like federal employees very much, though the feeling does not appear to be mutual.
Trump supporters are nearly united in their frustration with federal government policies, according to a new survey from Rasmussen Reports, with 96 percent saying they are “angry” at them. Just 36 percent of Hillary Clinton supporters said the same.
About six in 10 backers of the Republican nominee say the federal government rarely or never does the right thing. Nine in 10 disagree that federal government is a “protector of individual liberty.”
So if anyone is looking to use this survey as a reason to scare Trump voters away from the polls it’s likely to backfire. Most of those federal workers aren’t going anywhere, and if they did there wouldn’t be too many tears shed over it in conservative circles.

This is a stupid article and whatever survey they took was even dumber.
Most Federal workers would not leave their job without a new one in the private sector. Usually they just move from one Federal agency to another if they move.
Most Federal workers would make less money if they left their Federal job to one in the private sector—and many could not find anything better than flipping burgers.
So, what the survey respondents are really saying is they might try to send out resumes.

I know. If 35% leave of their own accord, and assuming 30% are keepable and were hired before Obama, then Trump may only have to fire 35%.
This translates as 35% of federal workers plan to bitch about Trump for the next eight years while collecting benefits from a job they won’t leave unless Trump makes actually working for a living unfrikkin bearable

It shows how stupid these people are. If they quit their cushy federal jobs they’ll join the other 92 million Americans out of the workforce because they won’t be able to find work either thanks to eight years of stagnant growth with a Democrat president most of them voted for
Good! Then he only has to fire 65%.
I’m fairly certain that 35% is across all federal employees, ie, Department of State, HUD, DoD, etc. I would suspect that there are few DoD employees in that 35% meaning some departments might loss upwards of 60% not that that’s a bad thing.
