Keep in mind the electoral college actually chooses the president. A Trump victory has just become even more essential in light of that. What if there's something that comes up between now and the electoral college that forces hillary to step down? Couldn't the electoral college choose a fill-in? How would the nation react if it's a contested election and they choose another dem?
That's a worst case scenario. Heaven help us if a crisis along those lines occurs.

I am surrounded by liberals every day. I have noticed no bumper stickers in the parking lot, and no one has mentioned the election this year. In fact, you wouldn’t even know an election as going on. Then on Friday, I was in the lunch room late afternoon, no one around, watching them freaking out on CNN. A coworker came in, saw what I was watching, looked around to make sure no one else could hear her, and then whispered, “Can you Believe this? This entire election? It’s insane!” I agreed and noticed she was grinning from ear to ear. She said to me then, “ I know people who are getting divorced over this election.”
