Northwestern University Historian Claims Christianity Poses Bigger Threat Than Islamic Terrorism.

A scholar from Northwestern University argued recently that Christian Fundamentalism poses a greater threat to the United States than Islamic terrorism. Catherine M. Wallace, who is a faculty member at Northwestern’s School of Medicine and a Christian herself, argues that fundamentalist access to United States armaments is the number one threat to the nation’s security. Wallace argues that because radical Christians are in positions of power and control the nuclear codes, they pose a greater danger to American society than do Islamic terrorists. “If [anything Islamic] wanted to attack an American city, they had to hijack an airliner. If they want to blow up a concert, they need to put bombs on their own children and send young men in to kill themselves… that kind of radicalism [Christian fundamentalism] in control of nuclear codes was a much, much greater threat,” Wallace claimed. According to The Chicago Maroon, the student newspaper of the University of Chicago, Wallace believes that a literal reading of the Bible is responsible for the threats posed by Christian fundamentalists. In Wallace’s view, this radicalism stems from a literal reading of the Bible. “Nobody in the ancient world would have read the Bible literally,” Wallace said. The idea of a literal reading is a thoroughly modern phenomenon, according to Wallace—church fathers of the past would discourage anyone from taking the Bible literally. Therefore, according to Wallace, the fundamentalists have it all wrong. “Christian fundamentalism is a malignant form of Christianity,” Wallace said. In her opinion, their literalist reading creates misconceptions of what the Bible means...

A scholar from Northwestern University

________

Scholar????? Here’s an excerpt from https://gotquestions.org/Bible-education.html

Some people see education as a cure-all for society’s ills. However, education, in and of itself, does nothing to combat ungodliness. In fact, knowledge, apart from the love of God, leads to pride (1 Corinthians 8:1).

Nicodemus was “Israel’s teacher,” yet he did not understand even the basics of spiritual life (John 3:10).

Paul was a highly educated man, having been trained in the best Jewish school of his day (Acts 22:3), and he used his education to communicate effectively to people of many cultures (Acts 17:28; Titus 1:12). Yet Paul’s education certainly did not make him holy (1 Timothy 1:16), and he warned of those who were “always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (2 Timothy 3:7).

Simply knowing facts does not make one a better person, and it is indeed possible to be a highly educated fool.

Just pure evil. This country was founded on freedom of religion and conscience. Our revolution was not the tyrannical anti-religious revolutions of France and Russia. American Left, shame on you!

2 groups of 100+ black teens attacked whites in Philadelphia this week, once at the private college, once a Catholic school bus.
So yes the violence is happening, just not reported.

He’s right....but only to evil people. Eternal torment is a far bigger threat than anything some raghead can do.

If she had proposed that American Muslims in positions of authority be denied access to nuclear codes, she’d be censured and probably fired. But these crazy accusations about Christians probably won’t hurt her career at all.

Academics are a joke.

They exist their entire lives on scholarships and grants, spend all their lives with books, know nothing of day-to-day reality, and thumb their noses at the concerns of the very people who pay their bills for them and feed them.

Per identity politics, an alignment of ideology and demographic identity (akin to church and state, religion and tribe), the authorities say that to be a member of X group, you are expected to belong to Y ideological group.
Democrats say they are the party of women, blacks, hispanics, homosexuals. If you are part of that demographic group but not Democrat, they say you aren’t really part of that demographic group.
This is how they can call Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas not really black or a race-traitor for being conservative. As a conservative black woman, she’s given up her membership in the tribe and can be targeted for violence as an apostate.
That’s why liberal authoritarians support Islam so much - they want the ideological totalitarianism to be able to define every aspect of people’s lives and assign them to various groups and thus know their beliefs and roles in life (stereotype). Her sin, the reason they can attack her, is for being an apostate.
