I live in Virginia and did not know we even had”early voting”. I think it is only marketed to dems. I spoke with a colleague at work who is an election official and a huge trump supporter and he didn’t know. I asked my other colleagues who are conservative in politics and they’d never heard of it in Virginia . Then My ultra liberal Unitarian mother in law bragged how she early voted. They must go make announcements at liberal hangouts and d folks homes......
I was an absentee voter once in Va. In 2000 I had to be out of town on election day and went to the courthouse, filled out my ballot and handed it to the nice lady behind the counter. Now this was 2000 when hanging chads became known to the world so I was hoping that my effort to vote would be helpful. After the dust settled, I found that Bush had won Va by such a large margin that the absentees wouldn’t have changed anything so they didn’t even bother to count them. As far as I know, there is no early voting in Va except by absentee ballot where you have to swear that you will not be able to vote in your precinct on election day. If that has changed, no one told me.
