Megyn Kelly: The Last Straw
American Thinker ^ | 10-27-16 | Dov Fischer

The Megyn Kelly eight-minute interview  with Newt Gingrich was riveting.  For me, it also was the last straw.

Let the drive-by media attack Gingrich, but I thought it was his finest hour since he handled John King four years ago at that GOP primary debate, when King of CNN started attacking Newt by quoting Newt's bitterly vindictive ex-wife.

Our household has become quite sick of Kelly, much as I had gotten tired of Greta Van Susteren.  Don't miss Greta a bit.  I know that Fox News is not only "fair," but "balanced," and I comprehend that they ultimately have more influence by maintaining a broader viewership if they avoid being as one-sided as is MSNBC.  Nevertheless, I have been finding Kelly more and more strident and less tolerable.  It may be that, post-Ailes, she is playing out her Fox contract and jockeying for a move to CNN or elsewhere.  Indeed, that would not be all bad – the presence at CNN of people with any amount of conservatism whatsoever is so rare that Kelly would be a good Trojan Horse to unload at CNN.

And she’s getting a bit long in the tooth. She has to make her money haul NOW coz’ in a few short years she’ll be outshone by the next bimbette.

I predict she’ll be arrested shortly for DWI and her career will take a nosedive à la Ty Pennington.

Is that a picture of Megyn’s conservative sister?

Look again.

Very closely.

I don’t particularly care for her either, but not for anything truly substantial I’ll admit.

Who spells their name “Megyn” instead of “Megan”? Megyn Kelly does of course! But it’s a bothersome little drip of water, to me, like the one drop that falls on you in a rainstorm when you’ve taken shelter as best you can. Really!? You just had to drop on me when I’m under this awning?! Had to get the last word. That’s her. That’s “Megyn” to me. Other drops include...

...the constant head tilt. Why tilt the head, cocking it like some lost retriever pup, both curious and sad at the world. And the look on her face when she’s in that pose is equally annoying, both dumbfounded yet still somehow manages arrogance. Amazing! And speaking of arrogance...

...she never surrenders a look that must be seen to be understood, but one understood when seen. A look of triumph even when she hasn’t made a point, doesn’t want to admit the one interviewed has, or clearly doesn’t understand what’s being said! It takes a special kind of “confidence” (to put it mildly) to pull that off, 50% of the time associated with the head tilt above.

....finally, pick a hairstyle and stick with it, it won’t kill you to stay with one more than a week.

And quit wearing all the black leather. Makes you look like a hooker.

My wife loves her, I’m trying to convince her otherwise, but that’s how all these memories are fresh in my mind. I’d rather forget the witch.

I hate to point this out, as it isn’t germaine to any ability to deliver or analyze news, but she is 10X hotter than Megyn Kelly.

I’m the sort that thinks what is between a woman’s ears is more attractive than pretty much anything else about a woman. In this instance, from a purely anatomical point of view, she is hotter than Georgia asphalt.

This is the thing about supermodels - eventually they open their mouths, and the magic disappears.

I always found Greta to be naive, not bad, just naive.

"He gets it right near the end, however, saying, "She had her moment early, as a newcomer, when she really seemed to bring something fresh and new to the mix.  That was before she evolved into a sarcastic, self-obsessed, and arrogant personality..." My sentiments, precisely."

Me too. I liked her early on because she was one of the few Fox hosts who would let her guests speak without interruption, which has always been my main gripe with Hannity and O'Reilly. But then, during the Trump campaign, she became part of the story, and seemed to like it that way, and now she wears that smug smirk which is the sign of liberals everywhere. Now, it's all about her.

These days they opine more than they interview. The hosts talk over the guests and are unwatchable.

"These days they opine more than they interview. The hosts talk over the guests and are unwatchable."

When were Hannity and O'Reilly ever NOT like that? I'd ask my girlfriend, "Why do they even have guests if they won't let them finish their point?" That's why I preferred Greta and the early Megyn, until she became a prima donna.

It's like they can't help themselves... they get face time on Nat’l TV and immediately forget themselves.

Just watching, you KNOW it was all practiced in front of a mirror MANY MANY times for just the right and very pat delivery. LOOK AT ME!!! LOOK AT ME!!!!

This level pathologically, self-important arrogance and infantile smugness is hard to watch. It's like the most awful and self-conscious acting. You almost want to cringe, you get so embarrassed FOR her!

"That’s when I stopped reading. Greta? What’s wrong with her?"

I will always remember Greta as OJ Simpson's syncophantic wannabe girlfriend from the CNN trial cverage back in 1994. She is just plain disgusting.

I travel 45 weeks a year and am out of the country about half of that time. Oftentimes, CNN is the only English-speaking channel I get. I can only take so much of the self-promotion ads and grossly slanted reporting and commentary so soon find myself putting on the headphones for Spotify while I work. The bias is remarkably worse on CNN international than it is in the states.

I think she is riding Trump coattails trying to use his fame to boost herself. For if it weren’t for her controversies over Trump, what would she have as far as press coverage? I’ve not seen that she is particularly smart either. She comes across more as a whore type.
So in the final analysis Fox should let her go and put Shannon Bream in her role or Tucker Carlson.

I think Dana had been looking forward to a job in the Jeb Bush administration. I remember that Perino went ballistic on “The Five” for two nights in a row over the fact that Trump was challenging Jeb for the nomination.
