Millions of votes already cast point to a Hillary Clinton victory

WASHINGTON — The millions of votes that have been cast already in the U.S. presidential election point to an advantage for Hillary Clinton in critical battleground states, as well as signs of strength in traditionally Republican territory.

The strong early-voting turnout by those likely to support Clinton – registered Democrats, minorities, and young people among others – could leave Donald Trump with virtually no path to the 270 electoral votes needed for victory.

Clinton is showing strength in Florida and North Carolina, both must-win states for Trump, as well as the battleground states of Nevada, Colorado and Arizona. There are even favorable signs for Clinton in Republican-leaning Utah and Texas.

“It’s going to be a very tall order for Trump to win,” said Michael McDonald, a University of Florida professor who specializes in election turnout. Other analysts also point to a strong finish for Clinton based on the early vote.

Early voting, via mail or in-person, is underway in 37 states. More than 12.5 million votes have been cast, far higher than the rate in 2012, according to Associated Press data. In all, more than 46 million people -or as much as 40 percent of the electorate – are expected to vote before Election Day, Nov. 8.

The strong early-voting turnout by those likely to support Clinton – registered Democrats, minorities, and young people among others

Since in a general elections voters do not declare a party affiliation, a voter's affiliation dates back to a prior election - probably a primary election, two to four years ago. Things have gotten worse in the last two years: Obabmacare premiums have skyrocketed, unemployement is under-reported, the middle is more unstable, etc. 70% of Americans think the U.S. is on the wrong path (Gallup, I think), which means that the "likely" Clinton vote may not be likely at all. A large proportion of these voters may be voting for CHANGE.

As for minorities and young people, the author of the article likely has no hard data from which to draw the conclusion that swarms of early voters are minorities and/or young.

The MSM is the Country’s greatest threat.

And if there is a civil war, they better have well fortified bunkers. They will be the first targets.

I hate this early voting crap! How did we get here? It is totally ridiculous, now we have news stories weeks in advance of the election about perceived results. There needs to be a class action lawsuit to protect the rights of election day voters....

“”When did a women who was inevitable in 2008 but got beaten like a rented mule by an unknown political novice and then came roaring back in 2016 to get beaten by a geriatric socialist, only able to pull out a victory by the DNC screwing the old guy at every turn and rigging her convention with party apparatchiks (a.k.a. super delegates) become popular enough to win a national election against anybody? In two elections nobody in her own party has actually wanted her when given any choice at all, yet now she’s hugely popular across the board? When did that happen exactly?”

unfortunately, have you read about the voting machines in Texas switching Trump votes to Hillary? How about the reports of dead people’s families getting early voting ballots in Virginia? remember when votes for Romney in Ohio in 2012 were being recorded as Obama votes? it’s happening again. voting machine software have been programmed to switch votes to Hillary. i pray that Trump has an army of software gurus ready to send out to the various states when places like Philadelphia vote 110% for Hillary in Pennsylvania the way it happened for Obama.

How did NY Post prove that those votes are for Hillary? If they are correct then, they should be arrested and closed down for tampering with the election. Who aloud them to see and count the voted ballots before the election day? If the count is polled after people vote then it means zero. Most people say anything to keep there vote secret and misleading. I agree BS.

So why didn’t they turn on the “switch votes to Hillary” algorithm in the primaries? Bernie smoked her in those.

If they don’t align the polls with the steal it will look suspicious. That said, internals of these polls don’t look good for the dems. I go back to the polls during the primaries, and Trump attracted people who had left the voting process. Bernie attracted them as well, but many of his supporters are now so disgusted they are either writing him in, voting third party, not voting and... some of them are voting for Trump as a eff u to the system.

Why aren’t the results of early voting kept secret until election night?

I didn’t think any votes get counted until election day, let alone release details...
