I did the math on this, and I think the story is somewhat bogus (the guy and the 26 dependents might exist).

Normal German welfare (Hartz IV) pays roughly 311 Euro for married people (individually) per month. For kids? The welfare supplement amounts to 207 Euro per kid up to age 14, and then goes to 276 Euro until age 18. If you add that up, it goes to about 80-odd thousand Euro a year. Rent and utilities are covered by another fund. I can say this....you won’t find too many structures existing in Germany with five or six bedrooms. Depending on where this guy is living....this might add up to 3,000 Euro a month...36,000 Euro a year.

Anyone who thinks you can make it on 80,000 Euro a year spread out over 26 dependents....is crazy. By the time he pays for food and covers clothing/school requirements, there’s nothing left. As each kid leaves, he gets less pay.

I’m still waiting for an authentic German to go off to some mideast country and marry a second wife and bring her back into Germany, and challenge the court system. The minute they accepted this multi-wife game....they were opening up legal issues later.

But that’s not how it works. They “say” they have one wife, and the other three are just unmarried women with children. Then each of them get paid. The “unmarried” wives must turn over the cash to dear hubby, or get a Muslim-allowed beat down. Of course, spousal abuse is technically illegal in Germany, but they won’t tell, because next would come an honor killing.
